Chapter 29

It felt so good to have Chris back around for a few days at least. I was so happy because he and Mijo clicked right away. It was like they had known each other their whole lives!Mama J was making sure we were comfortable while we stayed with them and we went everywhere with Chris. Interviews, studio and an appearance on MTV! It was a bit much because the girls were going crazy everywhere we went. It was like everybody knew who he was now!

Jive had an event that weekend and Chris wanted us to go with him so he took us shopping. It was the first time he had done that for me. It's not like I couldn't get my own outfit it was about letting him finally show me love in that way now that he could. I could just see the joy on his face to be able to say "Go Ahead, Get That". We argued all the time about him wanting to pay for things so I wouldn't have to so me giving in this time made him super happy. I just wanted him to be smart with his money because it's not like he was ballin just yet!

Once we got to the event it was nice. I saw a few of my dancer friends and hung out with them while Chris handled his business. Mijo and TJ went to check out the girls that were around so I walked around with Janina. As I was going through the crowd I ran right into Trey.

"My fau-." He stopped finally recognizing me. "Honey...Heey!" He said giving me a big hug.

"Hey T...What you doing here?" I asked pulling away.

"My manager had some people he was meeting up here and brought me along...What you doing here?" He asked while eyeing Janina.

"I'm here with Chris. You know how it goes I had to mingle while Tina had him tied up." I said rolling my eyes.

"Awe don't be too mad at him...It's like that sometimes. Well I could keep ya'll company." He said putting his arms across both our shoulders and smiling brightly.

"Uuuh...I don't know you." Janina fired back pushing his arm off her shoulder.

"Damn lil mama...My fault." He said in shock then licking his bottom lip. "Hi I'm Trey...Trey Songz. Would you like to hang out with me for the evening Beautiful?" He asked reaching out his hand to her making me roll my eyes. I mean come on Trey do you have to pour it on that thick?

He was from VA just like Chris and they actually knew each other and were cool. He and I knew each other through a few producers back in ATL. We became friends and I actually co-wrote some songs with him while he was recording his album. None of ours made it but it was a fun experience. It's just funny because he is the biggest flirt! I thought Chris was bad but Trey had him beat.

"That's better. I'm Janina now let's go!" She said with the sweetest smile.

Hmm they could be a cute couple I thought. Before I could walk off somebody whispered in my ear.

"Where you going?" He said making me turn around to Chris standing behind me.

"I was going with Janina and Trey...You finished?" I asked.

"Yeah...Bout to shoot the video for Yo next week!" He said smiling and showing his dimples. "Aye do they got food? I'm hungry...You said Trey here." He said grabbing my hand and walking to the catering table.

"Chris we're not supposed-" I said pulling my hand away quickly.

"Iont care about all that...You worry too much." He said stuffing a roll in his mouth and placing chicken wings on his plate as we got to the catering table.
