I woke up in the arms of my fiancé, Erick. I smiled, and looked at him as I traced his belly button and laid there, hoping not to wake him up, yet. I had nothing better to do today. I am going to go to the game, even though I should be practicing for singing at the bar downstairs, and for the Waitress musical next weekend. I'm pretty proud of myself for getting into this show, it's my favorite musical of all time – along with Rent, and Hamilton. I haven't played in either of them but I certainly would love to. I signed up for the auditions a few days ago for the showings in 2020 and 2021.

While doing those shows, I do have a lot of fun. But I am also a singer in general. I actually sing Sunday nights at a theater of all the songs I've written, and sold to famous artists.

Once I reminded myself how lucky I am like I do every day. I got up from the bed and went to the kitchen to make some coffee.

"Hey Siri, play the morning playlist on low."

"Playing morning playlist," Siri said

I, got to the coffee pot after slowly tracking my feet across the wooden floor of the apartment I made myself, along with this whole building – my last project before being discovered as a musician. I'm so happy with everything in my life, the guy I'm marrying. Just like the first time with calling him mine...

It was a dark day. It was my kind of day, storms are brewing, rain is coming down while I head over to class. I take in these moments, thinking to myself, why would I need negative thought? My life is beautiful, it's my sixth year in college, I'm majoring architecture. I just got home from England where I was studying aboard, it was such a wonderful trip.

My friend, Erik - came with me, we became really close. When I mean close, I mean really close. We were cuddling on the couch in our Hotel room one-night last week, and all the nights following. I was glad it was just us two in that room. However, we didn't actually hold hands or made it official. We haven't asked each other out – even though we're best friends, and our dorm rooms are right next to each other.

"Kyle, wait hon, you forgot your calculator," Erik said, running from behind me, stopping

"Oh thanks" I blushed, his hazel eyes sparkled as he handed me the calculator Erik smiled

and pecked my cheek.

"Anytime, Can I walk with you?" he said, grabbing my hand

"yeah" I smiled, rubbing my thumb on his hand – it was warm and big.

"You're so beautiful." He said as we began to walk

I bit my lip, and then proceed to push my glasses back up to the bridge "look who's talking, star of the basketball team."

"Oh, that reminds me – I have practice today." He said, smiling "You can come watch if you'd like"

"Are you sure your teammates will be okay with that?" I asked, trying not to be so

awkward

"yeah," Erik said, smiling "I don't care what everyone has to say about you good or bad. I

like you, really like you. I care about you, Kyle."

He kissed my cheek once again, and we stopped in our tracks at the front door of the hall that we go to for our classes. I looked at my watch, I have five minutes to get to class, five minutes to look at his beautiful face.

"Hey Erik," I heard, it was Logan, one of his teammates

I looked over at him, he seems puzzled, but he had a smile on his face "oh hi."
