Beauty is a funny word with several meanings.
Our idea of what beauty looks like
is women who seem to have those flawless features.
Long flowing hair,
Hourglass body,
Plump lips,
Big boobs,
Big ass,
Flat stomach,
Contoured face.
These things are what we think define what beauty is
and what it looks like.
It's what society has convinced us what beauty should be.
And if we aren't blessed with these features,
then we think that paying thousands of dollars
will make us fit in and belong.
But beauty is more than just a pretty face
and a perfect body.
Beauty is more than the clothes we wear
and the makeup we cake on our faces.
Beauty is what's underneath all of that.
Being confident in your own skin,
accepting your body for what it is and loving it.
Sometimes, it's hard to love yourself the way you are,
when there are so many things out there that make us think otherwise.
Like models that seem to have perfect bodies,
or advertisements for surgery to fix what is wrong with us.
Even though these things have a huge influence,
you have to look past all of those things
and not care what others think about us.
What matters most, is what you see when you look in the mirror.
When you look in the mirror at yourself, what do you see?
Do you see yourself as someone who is beautiful the way they are?
Or do you see what others have criticized about you.
Your hair,
your weight,
the way you dress,
the blemishes on your face.
These things shouldn't matter to you,
they make you who you are,
and what you are is simple.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL.
Just the way you are
