"Common, this party will be fun!" "You should sooo be there!" "It's gonna be the party of the century!" "It'll be tons of fun!" What they all had told me echoed through my mind. I had expected to be able to eat and drink and mope. Not this. Not have to deal with my drunken boyfriend. Not have to deal with Gene.

He pushed me against the wall, his hands pinning me by the waist. He moved his right hand to tip my head up towards him. He ran his thumb lightly over my lips. I hated the way he treated me, like I was his property. I was used to it though. To his quiet movements. To his distinct scent, a strong smell consisting of beer and spray paint. I just wish I was used to pushing him back. I wish I was used to getting him to leave me alone

I looked into his eyes, they were almost black. They met mine and he smiled hollowly. His left hand snaked under my hoodie. I pushed it away and tugged down the hem of my polo underneath. He glanced down before bringing his gaze back to mine. I was not expecting his hollow smile to twist. But it did.

"I want you Zane," He pushed himself as close to me as possible. His lips were less than an inch from mine. "I want you so bad. No, I need you. All I want is you and nothing else," I could feel that. "I want to do all the things that I haven't done yet. I want them now," He moved both hands to be even with my chest. They pinned themselves under my arms. "Don't you want that too?"

"No," I answered. "I really don't," I was looking for someone, anyone really, to get me out of here. "I'd rather die a fucking virgin," This had the opposite effect on Gene than I had hoped. He let out a shaky breath and let that twisted smile turn to a monstrous grin.

"Fuck, I love it when you talk like that," Irene, when Gene is drunk he had no self-control or embarrassment. "Hell, I love it when you do anything. I love you Zane," He kissed me roughly. I pushed against him. He pulled away. "What? You used to love it when I kissed you!" I felt hot tears sting against my eyes, threatening to slide down my cheeks.

"Stop it Gene," The older male kissed the side of my neck. "Gene get off of me!" His lips moved down to the top of sweater and his hands once again tried to slip it over my head. I pulled it down and shoved Gene away. He barely moved back.  I expected him to push me again.

"Zane, I love you. And you know you love me too," He reached for my hand. I didn't bother moving as he gripped my wrist. "All I need is one night with you," I felt the tears burn down my face. He yanked me off the wall. I stumbled into him. "And I'm going to have it," He kissed me again, this time licking my lips to beg for entry. I couldn't suppress a sudden sob. I ripped my arm from his harsh grip.

"Go to hell Gene," I tried to push past him towards the door to the party. His hand wrapped around my waist and pulled me close. My back was held tightly against his chest, my arms pinned by his grip.

"Bad boy," I opened my mouth to scream but his other hand clamped over my mouth. I was lifted off the ground and I cursed myself for drinking coffee since I was six. I kicked out against him. He carried me through the living room, with its blue walls and wood flooring, and up the stairs. I swear I heard the party grow louder and sharper before becoming muffled once more. Gene must have heard the door too because his grip tightened and he rushed. I kicked the stairs, hoping to draw the attention of the person. I didn't know if I did because we were already out of view.

Gene threw open a door and shoved me into the room. I scrambled away from him as he slammed the door shut. I hit the wall and moved till I was in the corner. Gene lifted his black shirt over his head and flung it to the floor. I moved my eyes downcast and wrapped my arms around my knees. I heard him kick off his boots. His feet appeared at edge off my view a few moments later.

"Nonononoohgodpleaseno," My words felt disconnected and slurred. Gene pulled me up by sleeves. "NO!" I couldn't stop myself from screaming. He dropped me on the bed. I scrambled frantically to get away from him as he calmly sat at the edge and removed my shoes. I struggled desperately as he pinned me with insulting effortlessness to the bed.

"It will be a lot easier if you just stop struggling. A lot more fun too," He smiled as if nothing was wrong. He smiled the same way he did whenever he was drunk and I was within reach. I felt the fear that was buzzing inside me slowly melt into hopelessness. I just cried as he slipped off my shirt and ran his hands down my chest. I only cried as leaned over me, placing his hands just over the waistline of my jeans. "It's okay Zane," No it's not! I wanted to scream those words, but I just lay there crying. I'm pathetic. Maybe I deserve this...

The door slammed open. "GENE YOU ARE SO FUCKING DEAD ITS NOT EVEN FUNNY!"

I turned to see Garroth. He looked pissed as all hell. Gene sat down and swung his feet off the bed. "HOW DARE YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT TOUCHING MY BABY BROTHER!" As the males approached each other, Travis slipped around a Garroth and ran to me. He looked panicked.

"Ohmygod I am so sorry it took me so long! I just had to get Garroth because me being beaten up wouldn't have done either of us any good," He stopped talking. He looked at me, his gaze softened. "Did he hurt you?" I managed a shake of the head. "Oh thank fucking heaven!" Garroth stumbled back beside us. Travis met his eyes for a brief second. "Common, let's get you out of here,"

We hurried down the stairs to where people from outside were huddling in from the commotion. Katelyn broke her way through the crowd, took one look at me, and backed away. Travis pushed through the suddenly silent crowd. As we broke into the cold air of the empty street he stopped me.

"Dammit Zane," He whispered coldly. I looked into his emerald like eyes for the first time that night. He was crying. "Why did you have to scare me like that?" I shrank back. "DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW FUCKING WORRIED I WAS ABOUT YOU!?" He slipped off his jacket the color of pine leaves. "Wear this before you freeze to death," I took it and slipped it on. It was a little big, fuzzy too, but it also smelled like Travis. Morning dew still clinging to the grass, assorted flowers, and other spring-like scents. It was comforting.

"I'm okay now, thank you," I sniffed and smiled. "Thank you a lot," He looked up towards the stars sprinkling the sky like freckles. He let out a long, slow breath.

"Let's get you home,"

Sorry I haven't been active recently! I've been caught unprepared by the rush of homework and activities that spurred up last month!
