Chapter: 6

I just kind of stood there looking back and forth between my wallet and Jeremy wondering how I managed to leave something so valuable behind in a car with someone I didn't know. But after I thought about it, it felt like I know Jeremy forever, like it didn't even matter that I'd left something in his car.

"Well here you go." He said holding my wallet out to me. I walked over to him took the wallet and just looked at him. He smiled at me.

"What?" he said rubbing the back of neck, cheeks becoming pink. I smiled back at him and replied "Nothing, I was just thinking about how I could be so careless with this". I said fumbling the wallet in my hands. I looked at him and smiled.

"Do you want something to to drink?" I asked pointing to my kitchen. With out even giving me an answer, he walked into my kitchen and sat down at the island counter. I walked into the kitchen and over to my refrigerator.

"Okay we have Coke, Water, Milk, Minute Maid, And OJ." I said looking at him after I told him all the drinks.

"Ummm, just give me some water." When he said that I felt something, like something was trying to get in my head, trying to tell me something, like a message. Ignoring what he said completely, I passed him a coke and sat down across from him. I expected him to say something like, 'I asked for water.' or like 'What is this?' but he didn't. He popped the top on the can and began to drink the coke. After taking a long sip, he placed his can down on the counter and just looked at me. I blushed under his intense watch. He smiled and then stood.

"Well I think I should get going, it is late." He said with his shoulders perked up a little. I was kind of disappointed and before he could see it on my face I popped up from my seat. We stood there for a minute, trading romantic eyes.

"Well I'll walk you to the door." I said after I went through different ways the night could end up if he didn't suggest his leaving. I started off to the door and even though I didn't tell Jeremy to come he was already following. When I stopped he kind of dumped into me. Not trying to be nasty but, I could feel something. I turned to look at him, not even caring that I had a wide smile on my face. He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. I tilted my head to the side looking at him with soft eyes.

"Your so cute." I said and then completely regretted it. I don't even know how I allowed myself to say that. It was like I had no control over what I just said; Like it wasn't me. I could feel that my eyes were wide with embarrassment. He chuckled

"Thank you."

"Well, thank you for bringing my wallet back. Its kind of late. I'm surprised my mom even let you in."

"Yeah. She's a nice woman." At first I was shaking my head in agreement, but then realized that Jeremy doesn't know my mom, how would he know that she was a nice woman. Wouldn't he say 'she seems nice' rather than 'she is nice'. What ever I didn't really care, I'll just add it to my list of weirdness. We were at the door now and we just stood there looking at each other. It's kind of funny because in the short time that I've known Jeremy, like four freaking hours, we been getting in this look at each other thing; it was weird, but in a good way.

"FUCK YOU CHARLIE!!!" Jeremy and I both looked at the door. I was kind of scared at first but when I looked up at Jeremy, he was just smiling. He took a step forward and opened up the door. Once the door was opened, there was Brittany standing there crying. What the hell; well that's explains the 'fuck you Charlie'. Charlie was Brittany's boyfriend. They must of had a fight.

"Come on Britt. Get in here." Said Jeremy pulling her into my house by her arm. She was crying really hard.

"Who the fuck needs him anyway?"

"What happened this time Britt?"

"The asshole got mad at me for dancing, Like what the hell else am I suppose to do at a party?" Jeremy laughed when she said that.

"You'll be okay, you guys will work it out. Its not like you an just find another boyfriend." Brittany's head popped up and looked at him. She had this kind of grizzly look: her teeth were showing and her eyes got really red. I just stood back and stared at the both of them completely and utterly bewilder. I cleared my throat to get their attention. They both snapped their heads in my direction with the "grizzly look", I guess I could call it that, even though it was more wolf like. That one word, wolf, triggered something in me, that peace. I don't know if what ever I was thinking showed on my face because Jeremy whole mood quickly lightened up and then so did Brittany's. There was something seriously weird with them. What ever it was, it doesn't really matter, I'm just tired.

As if Jeremy's mind and mines were linked, he said " I should get going." Brittany agreed with a nod of her head. He smiled at me and sort of growled at Brittany. I looked at them. What the hell is their problem. They both laughed out loud and looked at me.

"I'll see you later Armonie." he said and then left. When the door was fully closed I looked at Brittany.

"Okay what the fuck is up with you two." She laughed.

"It's nothing. We're just really competitive." That kind of made sense. but about what was my question. I just shook my head clear and headed up the steps to my room. When I got in my room, I grabbed my earphones and climbed on my bed. I turned my music up as loud as possible and zoned out. I saw Brittany stumbling into my room and that's pretty much all I remembered before I fell to sleep.

"I will be with you." I woke up soaked in sweat. I looked at my clock: 5 o' clock. I wiped my face and got out of bed. I opened my door and started down the hall. When I was half way to the bathroom, I heard a voice; it was Brittany.

"It's too early. She can't know yet. She's only seventeen. How can you hear her thoughts. And your just now telling me?" I couldn't really understand what she was talking about. Who the hell could she be talking to at 5 in the morning.

"I don't care Jeremy, Armonie is not ready. She doesn't even know what we are, let alone herself." Wait what what the hell is she talking about?

"Okay what ever, I got to go. Meet you at the creek in 30 minutes."

I ran back to my room and hopped in my bed. I really didn't want to get into it now but there's going to have to be a really big talk.
