Alayah's POV

"How was school baby?" I asked Zoëy as I buckled her up.

"Fine mommy" She said lowly.

I looked at her and arched my eyebrow. "You sure" I asked.

She nodded slowly and played with her fingers.

I closed the door to the backseat and walked over to my side and got in.

I placed the rearview mirror on her.

"You're usually more talkative Zoëy, are you okay?" I said while driving off.

"Im fine" She said looking out the window.

Something was wrong with my babygirl.

We pulled in the driveway and I saw Algee's car, I rolled my eyes and parked beside it.

I got Zoëy out and we walked in the house.

Algee was sitting on the couch watching tv.

He looked at Zoëy and smiled. "Hey princess" He said.

She looked at him and didnt say anything.

He frowned. "Zoëy..whats wrong" He asked her.

"Nothing" She said and walked in her room.

"She's 4 years old, how can she be facing problems already" Algee said looking at me.

"She's human just like us" I said rolling my eyes.

"Layah, can we talk" He said cutting the tv off.

"We have nothing to talk about Algee..Im about to go see whats wrong with our daughter, thats my main concern right now" I said walking upstairs to her room.

I opened the door and Zoëy was on the floor playing with her dolls.

"Hey babygirl" I said sitting on the floor beside her.

She looked at me. "Mommy" She said.

"Yes"

"Are you and daddy still gonna love me?"

I arched my eyebrow. "Of course Zoëy, what makes you ask that?"

"Because you and daddy were being mean to eachother this morning" She said.

I sighed and put her in my lap.

"Zoëy, me and daddy arguing isnt gonna change how much we love you, us arguing has nothing to do with you, its not your fault that me and and daddy argue, we still love you, and that will never ever change..dont let anyone tell you different" I said.

She looked me in my eyes.

"Why are you even arguing mommy, you guys are supposed to love eachother too" She said.
