Chpt. 1 Blood Knight Downfall

~~~Scarlett POV~~~

"Run honey, run! Take care of each other we love you!" I scream to my son, taking down some hunters trying to get him. This day was suppose to be a good day, but now my pack and I are fighting off hunters. We all sent our children into the forest to live another day.

I mind link to my mate, Alpha Richard 'where did all these hunters come from'

He responds saying one name, 'Xavier' that sends a cold shiver down my back.

And I think "how was it possible he got so many hunters together. How did he manage to go into our territory without a trace". My train of thoughts is broken when I hear a scream, I look to my left to see my best friend Edith having two hunters holding her down and another hunter coming with a knife, a silver knife. I run as fast as I can to stop the hunter. I jump into the air changing into my raven colored wolf and bite down onto the hunters head. With that, his body drops to the floor and without holding back, I kill the other two hunters. I shift back to look at Edith running towards her house. She is running to get to Julian, her 4 year old pup. I shift back to my wolf clearing a path for her to only see my daughter coming out of the house with Julian in her hands. Edith and I stop at our tracks and see Julian is in good hands so we start to fight the hunters. I stop to see where my daughter is at.

I look back at my daughter, to see a confused look on her face. I mind link her saying 'Get all babies out! Run into the forest your brother is there'

She says back, 'what about you?' She looks at me fearing for what I will respond next.

'I'm not going sweetie' I say seeing a tear come down her cheek and she wipes it off then says 'what about dad?' I was about to respond when i felt a burning sensation coming from my leg, I was shot with a silver bullet. I let put a howl, I look for the hunter who shot me and I see a muscular man 6'3 blonde hair with green eyes with a gun pointing at me, I growl fiercely at him. A smirk begins to form before he could finish that smirk I pounce on him, pinning him to the ground. And before he could react, I bite down on his head and rip it off leaving his lifeless body on the floor.

I look to see my daughter, with fear in her eyes and tell her 'Run baby, Run' as soon as she heard she turned around running as fast as she could into the forest.

After seeing my daughter disappear into the forest to safety I turn around and run to the fight. I see many wolves turning into there human form down on the ground, lifeless. My heart began to crumble seeing many familiar faces, pale and lifeless. But we also had many hunters dead on the floor, some missing heads others with chunks of flesh missing from their bodies. Then I heard fierce growls, I turn to see my husband surround by five hunters, I run towards him knowing they will not expect an attack from behind. I jump in the air to pin down a hunter and ripping his head off, with that my mate attacked the hunters and less in a minute we take down not only the five hunters but six others that were trying to kill our pack members. I turn to see how many of us are left to only see about 20 of us still standing. I see my best friend Edith is still up and I was thankful for that. She is beside her mate and beta Jason and beside him is our third in command Jonathan.

I mind link my mate saying 'We need someone to take care of the kids.'

My mates gray wolf looks at me, I see worry in his eyes that changed into anger and then I hear a growl coming for my mate. I follow his gaze and see that he is looking at the bullet wound I have on my front leg, knowing that it would take longer for the wound to heal since the bullet was silver I did not pay much attention to it. I look back at my mate to try to say I am fine, but I would be lying, that bullet burned like hell.

I tell him, 'Richard, the kids need to be safe, I'm going to send Jonathan to take good care of them'.

He nods and then mind links Jonathan to find all the kids and take care of them. We all stare at Jonathan as he runs towards the forest but before he enters he howls and we all do the same, we all howl into the sky letting everything around us to hear and then Jonathan disappears into the forest. As hunters begin to approach us they stop at a distance and then I see him. My wolf begins to growl fiercely at the man coming from the hunters.

The man stops walking and starts to clap, and with a smirk on his face he begins to say, "My, my...you put up one hell of a fight. But we all know how this will end tonight".

I shift back to my human form, not ashamed of my body, since I knew I had a well toned curvy body with perfect raven hair and hazel eyes. I walk to the man, who no longer has a smirk on his face, I was ready to pounce on him but was stopped by big muscular arms around my waist, their touch sent sparks to where their arms were touching my skin and I knew my mate was the only one to make me feel the sparks. I stop and instantly relax at his touch. To only hear him say,

" What the fuck are you doing here, Xavier!!" My mate was never the aggressive type, so seeing him mad was truly terrifying, but I was not scared this time because I was red with anger, trying to rip this mans throat out.

Xavier started to laugh, and said, " oh Richard, you know why I 'm here. And is that anyway to speak to your mates great grandfather." As soon as those words left Xavier's mouth, I spat at him saying, " You are not my great grandfather! I hate you! And you will die for what you have caused!" With that I ran towards my grandfather with my nails already out, and jump up in order to go for the kill, but before I could get to him a shot was fired and i was hit right on my stomach. I drop to the ground feeling the same burning sensation that felt with the first shot, but this time it was 10 times worse. I screamed into the air, as darkness conquered me but before darkness took over I saw everyone fighting again, my mate fighting my grandfather, and the rest of the pack fighting, slowly i drifted away thinking my kids are safe.
