"Hey Jack, so you remember that project I told you about?" I asked, adjusting my laptop so I could see him better.

"The one you ever tell me about? Yeah." He nodded. We were video chatting, as he was in Brighton and I was still in LA. I was gonna fly out to see him in a few months, but until then we were limited to video chatting.

"Well, I finally finished it." I told him.

"Do I get to see it now?" He asked eagerly.

"More like hear it." I say, before dissapearing off-screen for a second, grabbing my guitar.

"What?" He asked, confused. Then I brought my guitar into frame. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves, before strumming a few chords.

"When your legs don't work like they used to before.
And I can't sweep you off of your feet.
Will your mouth still remember the taste of my love
Will your eyes still smile from your cheeks

And darling I will be loving you 'til we're 70
And baby my heart could still fall as hard at 23
And I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe just the touch of a hand
Oh me I fall in love with you every single day
And I just wanna tell you I am

So honey now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
Maybe we found love right where we are

When my hair's all but gone and my memory fades
And the crowds don't remember my name
When my hands don't play the strings the same way, mm
I know you will still love me the same

'Cause honey your soul can never grow old, it's evergreen
Baby your smile's forever in my mind and memory

I'm thinking 'bout how people fall in love in mysterious ways
Maybe it's all part of a plan
I'll just keep on making the same mistakes
Hoping that you'll understand

But baby now
Take me into your loving arms
Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars
Place your head on my beating heart
I'm thinking out loud
That maybe we found love right where we are, oh

So baby now
Take me into your loving arms

Kiss me under the light of a thousand stars

Oh darling, place your head on my beating heart

I'm thinking out loud

That maybe we found love right where we are

Oh maybe we found love right where we are
And we found love right where we are" I sang. When I  finished, I gripped the neck of the guitar like a safety blanket, scared of how Jack would react. I hadn't preformed in front of people since high school, and even though it was just Jack, it was still terrifying as hell.

"Mark, that was beautiful." I smiled, looking down at the strings.

"I hope you liked it. That one song took almost three months to learn, and I still fucked it up." I told him.

"If you fucked up, I couldn't tell. It was perfect. I loved it, Mark." He smiled.

"Thanks Jack. That means a lot, especially coming from you." I tell him.

"I understand if your scared, but you should upload a video of you singing. Show the world what you've got."

"But I still fuck it up. What if they don't like it? What if they hate it?"

"Mark. Listen to me. If anyone hates on you, just tell me. I'll beat the shit outta them until they take it back." Jack laughs. Just his laugh make me feel a little better about it.

"I guess your right."

"Damn straight I am. Come on, Mark. It'll be fine." He promises me.

"Okay, I guess I will. I'll film it later this week." I tell him.

"It'll be fine. Even if you did miss a few notes, your an amazing singer. And when you get to Brighton, you better bring that guitar." Jack tell me.

"Only if you play me a song on the drums."

"Deal."
