"dude it's crazy. i met him not long ago and it's like he-"
"stole your heart and captured your attention?" michaela asked, as we spoke over the phone.
"yeah and it's crazy how he intrigues me. i'm dying to know more about him. but then the whole deal with madison is kind of annoying," i sighed.
"just brush her off. maybe she's just heartbroken," michaela shrugged.
"yeah, maybe," i frowned.
"i'll call you later, johnson just got here," michaela said.
"bye, boo,"
i stood in front of the mirror, staring myself down. i mentally began to compare my characteristics to madison's. she was practically perfect next to me.
i grabbed my belongings and made my way downstairs to my car. i put my bag in the passenger seat and pushed the "on" button. the engine roared to life and i reversed out of my driveway.
i made my way down to the east wood beach and i parked my car close to the rocks. i could see the silhouette of jack figure as he sat on the sand.
it was pretty dark out. i couldn't see much but luckily the stars lit up the night sky. there weren't many out but just enough.
"hey," i said, sitting down next to him.
"hey. you look really nice tonight," jack greeted, standing to his feet and wiping his hands on to his khaki shorts.
"thank you. you look really good too," i blushed, looking down and smiling.
"look, i know we don't know much about each other or anything in general but you're really pretty and i think it'd be really great if you gave me a shot," he said.
"yeah, i'd like to get to know you too."
"so how does a mint chip dazzler from haagen daz sound?" he chuckled.
"oh gosh that sound amazing," i groaned.
we made our way to my car and drove off to the ice cream shop. it wasn't far from the beach and jack told me it was very close by his apartment.
-
"i didn't know you liked ice cream so much," jack laughed as we threw out or garbage.
"are you crazy? i absolutely love it. don't even get my started on cookies," i laughed.
"i guess we'll have to stop for some on our next date," jack smiled.
"i agree," i smiled back.
"so tell me about yourself," jack said, as me sat outside on a bench.
"i'm claudia tihan, seventeen years old. i love to eat but i also like to workout. i love school but i don't really like the people there. after i finish high school, i want to get into julliard," i informed him, "how about you?"
"jack. jack finnegan gilinsky. twenty-one years old. musician. and you know the rest," he shrugged.
"i don't, actually. i know what's put out on the media but not is in you and your heart. so tell me about yourself," i said.
"i'm jack. jack finnegan gilinsky. twenty-one year old musician. i sing with my best friend and tour around the world. i like the color green and i like to draw," he smiled.
"how many people know that about you?" i wondered.
"it's a secret of mine. only you and jack know."
"your secret is safe with me," i smiled, laying my head on his shoulder.
"hey, i should take you home soon. it's getting late and your parents probably want you home," he sighed.
we got in my car and drove back to the beach. i parked my car next to jack's who was the only one there.
"thanks for the amazing night, text me soon," i smiled.
"no problem, i'd love to see you again," he kissed my cheek.
