Hi, I'm Theresa. I'm 5"1 On a good day and I'm 16 years old. I have bright green eyes and long curly hair that you usually can't see cause if you look at me too long your dead. So you see, Colonia is a place that has outlawed anything that can't be explained by science. Well me and my friends definitely can't be. Well your probably thinking " huh, well obviously otherwise this would be a shit boring book" well I agree completely. So, I'm actually half werewolf and half demigod , yeah yeah yeah " Omg that's soooo cool!" Yeah not really. Especially not here where everything like that gets you killed. But Rhyder is a shapeshifter and Eric is a fae( NOT a fairy he will tell u EVERY.DAMN.TIME.) and Gracelyn is a fire Demi demon. So me and her clash heads a lot. But we're stuck here in the slums until we find a way out. So that's pretty much what's necessary to tell you , but that was wayyyy too long so now, on with the story.

Colonia, what a perfect hellscape. You know your world has gone to hell when your best friend is the most wanted criminal. And your other two friends are usually too drunk to talk.
And so, of course I had to be the one who found the body. And just of course it had to have a note nailed to its... unmentionables. So I decided to bring it back for Rhy to look at because there was no way in hell I was looking that close. Now being the 5"1 I am on good days, it was quite a feat to haul a full grown man 3 blocks back to the rosette. Especially since it was rush hour before the colonial guards made their daily rounds to check for illicit substances. Hah! If you really wanted to find anything here it's best not to announce your presence.
As I hauled ass to get back to the rosette before the guards got there-they are not known to be very kind to women- I started to feel as though someone was following me. Now in the slums, especially for a girl, this is a fairly common occurrence. But it didn't feel creepy and horrible, but more concerned and watchful. Rhy then, he's the only one in the hell hole who would ever bother to look out for me. I didn't stop though. Not here. In front of the merchants houses. Instead I continued on to the rosette.
When I got there he was already there. No surprise considering I was the one carrying a damn body. When I finally made it up the stairs to his office I dumped the body on his desk-Mahogany hides blood well-.He just stood there staring at the stupid thing, so I reached over and flipped the body over. He winced when he saw the note, and where it was nailed. "Well" I demanded. "What does it say?" He just looked up at me and glared, as if this was all MY fault! "We need to go get Gracelyn and Eric." Was all he said. When he noticed I hadn't moved he looked at his watch and groaned. "Oh well shit! It's inspection time!"
"Well duh." I said. "Aren't you the one who tells ME to always check the time!?" "No Rhysa you don't get it!" He said. "What don't I get!" I practically yelled at him. "The note... well it is a warning... for us all to get out of here while we still can..."
