"WHAT!" I screeched, staring at him in horror, "what the HELL DO YOU MEAN!?" "I mean," he said calmly " that we have to go get them and we will have to leave tomorrow ." He said. "Wait why do we have to leave? They haven't found out about us for 6 years how would they find out now?" I asked. "There are things you haven't been told, we have just been trying to keep you safe." He said defensively. 'Yeah safe from what you bastard.' I thought." Well you obviously have to tell me now since apparently we have been found out about." I said instead." Well I don't know the whole story. We'll have to wait until Eric gets here. He's the one who knew your family." He said. " WAIT WHAT!" I really did scream this time."HE KNEW WHO MY FAMILY WAS THIS WHOLE TIME AND HE NEVER TOLD ME!?" 'I am going to kill him!'
I thought to myself.
Once We finally found Eric and Gracelyn and we were all safely in Rhy's office I slowly turned around and glared at Eric, who at least had the brains to look nervous. "Why," I asked him in a deadly quiet voice"the HELL didn't you tell me you KNEW MY FAMILY!?" I screamed out at him. " I-I'm s-so sorry Theresa!" He babbled." I-I-I didn't know it would mean so much to you!" "Well, Eric, my friend. Perhaps it's time you learned what I do to people who withhold information from me hmm?" I asked him. "Theresa" Growled Rhy "stop it now. You are not to hurt him, he is our friend" of course this brought me back to myself, the bastard always seemed to know when my wolf instincts were about to do some serious damage. Then Gracelyn spoke up for the first time in our little meeting. "Guys, we really have to tell her and then we are gonna have to haul ass down the coast. Eric you still remember that boy, Ben wasn't it? Who helped you the last time? Well we're going to need his help agin to get to landeron." She said, her normally very self assured voice seemed to quaver a little she spoke, a sign that she was very nervous. "Well Eric it seems you will have the pleasure of telling me of my parents." I stated flatly. " of-of course" he said nervously " w-well you see, in the land far to the north there is a different lifestyle. And the reason behind that is because all the land there is owned and run by your kind, the werewolves. They have divided the land amongst themselves depending on the size and power of their packs. Your parents... well they were the alpha and Luna of the biggest and strongest pack there. The Bloodstream pack. They were killed when the colonian Empire tried to take over the north. They didn't succeed but the losses were great on both sides. They had only one child, who the world thought had died with them that horrible night. She was a mere 10 years old so they thought how could a child of that age survive something like that. But she did. And somehow she turned up on the shore of the colonian island. The place where her kind are most at risk and most hunted. But Rhyder, he found you there. And he could tell what you were so he decided to take you in and keep you safe, I mean he had to didn't he, you are one of us. One of the exiles. We did t want to tell you before because we knew you wouldn't believe your parents were... gone." He concluded sadly. But by this point I was barely listening. I was braced against the wall absolutely sobbing. How could I have never known!? How could they have kept this from me?! I didn't know what to do. But I did know one thing. We had to get to the bloodstream pack. I had to get answers to my many questions. So I dried my eyes and looked up to see them all with tears in their eyes which surprised me. Surely they couldn't care that much? Could they? I only knew one thing for certain. " we have to get out of here. He have to go find them." I said with a much stronger voice then I thought would be possible at the moment. Gods I felt like such a wreak. But then I felt strong warm arms wrap around me and heard Rhyder say over my head " we'll go find them. Well get out of here and go find them, well all go with you" and then I felt two more pairs of arms hug me before Gracelyn and Eric both said that they would go pack all our belongings for our trip. Because I think we all knew. We weren't ever coming backRhyder POV
Gracelyn and Eric left to pack our bags, leaving me and Rhysa alone. I could feel her shaking she was trying so hard not to cry and I felt so bad. We should have told her sooner. " it's ok Rhysa, you can have emotions you know", I said trying to comfort her in the only way that I knew she wouldn't try and cut my balls off. "Shhhh you'll be OK" I said quietly into her hair. She really was short. And I guess that she just couldn't take it anymore. She grabbed fistfuls of my shirt and started sobbing into it. Welp there goes another of my shirts, at least it wasn't bloodstains this time.
She cried for a while before it was reduced to hiccups and snuffling. She looked at me and sighed "sorry about your shirt, again." "It's alright" I said laughing " at least it wasn't bloodstains this time" "I'm sorry I got so emotional on you, I just... well it was just a lot to take in." She said softly. I felt so bad then and she looked so sad. "Hey Rhysa?" I asked her "how about we all go out and see if we can find some icecream?" She brightened instantly at that. Icecream was outrageously hard to find and horribly expensive. But this was us. We could steal this whole city if we so desired. "Omg yesssss!" She squealed "that would be AWESOME!!!" I laughed at how excited she was over icecream, but this would be our last time here before we left once it got completely dark. So I sent her off to go get the others so we could enjoy our last day in Colonia. It was
going to be a long while before we could've relaxed enough to eat ice cream again.Hey guys, tell me if you like it in the comments! :)
