she sits among the tall weeds, her eyes peering down at who she lost that day. he sleeps underneath her feet. the guilt rips her apart, she could have been there, she could have saved him. she cries, it wasn't fair. she didn't want him to go, but he was stolen in the dead of night, punished for what he had not meant to do. he was gone by the next morning.
and now they are divided, one above and one below.
