"I do see her!" I tell my brother, "hear her to." My name is Nate Simians, my brother believes I am delusional, I see and hear this perfect girl, whispering my name, and every time I turn around to see who's there it's like "poof" she's gone as if it's my imagination, lately I have begun to believe that. She's like the perfect girl for me. Slightly shorter than me, sea blue like eyes, wavy brown hair, and a voice like silk, calling my name "Nate, Nate." I see her standing behind me, I look and... nothing. Will I ever find her?

Chapter 1

She's here...

Nate's POV

I lie awake in my bed, her voice keeps ringing in my head, "Nate, Nate," she whispered in my ear, while I was sleeping. I woke up I saw her sitting at the foot of my bed her gazed locked to mine she saw that I was awake,I blinked not believing what I saw, "poof"... Nothing... Gone... But I notice something strange there's a crumpled piece of paper in my hand that wasn't there before that reads "See you again, tonight". It must be her, I mean literally who else keeps climbing through my window just to watch me sleep, I think to my self. Its her again the girl I keep seeing, I think, we'll that's a start the voice in my head screams at me. My imagination must be acting up, I think again. I saw her just a moment ago sitting at the foot of my bed and the at the park last week, I was waiting for Josh to pick me up, and I saw her staring me down as I sat on the bench I could see her, standing like a statue, I at least want to know her name. As soon as I am about to touch her pale white skin, then I brush her skin then I look at her face its filled with panic and when I look and it's as if she was never there.

Her POV

I sit there whispering his name in his ear as I place my note in his hand as carefully as I could. He sleeps so soundlessly for a mortal, I think to my self, that's such a silly thought I tell myself, I stare at him, I know that this is against the rules but I think I am in love with a mortal, Nate I think to my self such a nice name, for a nice boy. Then I can't believe it he's awake, he's looking straight at me with his chocolate brown eyes, I panic, I can't stay I tell myself. So I think as hard as I can, trying to tell my self what to do I have been training for the past five years I think why dose it have to work now, before I know it I am whispering "Invisible, invisible," I hum, also under my breath to myself as quickly as I can. Suddenly my mind kicks in and the next thing I know, I am invisible! I really worked, I think, I have been trying to do that for the past six months! I have finally done it, I think, running to the window of his room, I take one last look at him, I see confusion on his face, but I know I can't stay I tell myself, I am probably in way too much trouble as it is. And with that I climb out the window. I am standing on the roof I tell myself, "that was too close I tell myself, too close," it was just like at the park, I was watching him from behind a tree a good twenty feet from him, but somehow he noticed me, I froze in fear tense still, like a statue, not even breathing but my mind was racing, I finally made up my mind where I would go, home I thought for a moment. It was too late his hand barely brushed mine I just wanted to hold his hand forever but I can't , my fear brought up a shock wave, I wanted to move so badly it barely touched his hand, he jerked back, blinked and the next thing I saw was Sage waiting for me like something was up, I simply froze with fear. I was scared. But now he nows that I am real. He has seen me twice know no doubt about it...

Chapter 2

Consequences...

Her POV

Sage is staring at me, like she doesn't know me, she walks up to me and puts a sly smile on her face, and shakes me gently like any big sister would. "You went out again to his apartment, didn't you Crystal?" It sounds more like a statement than a question, I slowly nod my head. "I told you it's dangerous," she said gently, handing me a glass of water. "I I don't know how, but he saw me" I choked out that last couple of words. She stares at me with a worried look in her eyes, "Crystal that's twice this past week." She said slowly. "I know" I reply. "Maybe I should just not go, all the time. Sage" I whispered her name, "you're not going to turn me in are you?" "No, I won't turn you in to the council, I wouldn't be able to live with myself, if I did that." Sage said, her smile fading as she sat there staring at me. With a worried look in her eyes... "You should go too you're room, tomorrow is the first day of mortal school." She said smiling, standing up in front of me. "Okay" I whine, making puppy dog eyes at her. "Fine!" She saids, giving in. "Twenty extra minutes that's all."
