Rains P.O.V
~ two weeks before school was over ~
I was getting ready for school when my best friend Alex called.
"Hey Rain guess what I just found out," Alex said crying
" What" I screamed at her
"I'm moving to California after school is out"
" No! You can't we had everything planned for this summer." I yelled
"My parents are making us because of 'better' job opportunities."
" Do you know what day your leaving."
"Yeah, May 28th."
"Do you think we could go to that one lake your cousin told us about before you leave."
"Idk, my parents said we would be packing all weekend but I can see if we could get a couple free hours."
" That would sound wonderful. I gotta finish getting ready. Talk to you later, bye"
" Bye."
I hung up the phone and started getting ready. I decided on wearing my black leggings with my maroon top and white low top converse. As I rushed down the stairs I almost fell down the stairs, I ran into my brother, and dropped everything.
" Having problems sis." Travis said
"Well if you call having your best friend move away, being late for school, and dropping everything a problem than yeah I'm having a few problems." I sighed
"That sucks, want a ride to school." He said
" Yeah, that would be nice." I laughed
After a long car ride we finally arrived at school. Carter High School aka hell, I never really like school but of course everyone has to go because its the law. As I stepped out of Travis's truck I was indulged into a hug but Alex and Millie. I love both of them like sisters, Travis even treats them like sisters because they are always at our house.
"Hey laddies." I said
" Hey, did you hear Claire and Chris are back together." Millie whispered
I almost barfed hearing that, I swear I got pale too. I hate Claire she is a spawn of the devil. I swear when she gets mad she has steam coming out of her nose. Chris on the other hand, he is hot and caring of everyone. The only people that know I like him is my ex-best friend Amanda, and my other ex-best friend Claire. OML yes we were friends until she started dating Chris and Amanda left me because Claire left me.
"Hello, Earth to Rain." Alex said laughing
" Sorry I was just thinking." I said nervously
" It's cool, you okay tho you look a little pale." Alex said
"I'm fine. Can I tell y'all some-" I was interrupted by Claire
" Hey who wants to come to a lake party this weekend at my lake house." She said so snobbish
"Can't you just leave us the heck alone." I screamed and ran off
