The phone besides me buzzed with a slight 'ding' from the default ringtone. I eyed the phone with excitement but focused back on the calculus problem on the paper, jotting down my homework answers on another paper.
Whenever I do math, the paper becomes so messy and full of formulas and erased marks that I could barely even read it myself. I used to just turn it in like that to the teachers to punish them for assigning so much work, but eventually they caught on and started to mark off points for that.
Now I have to re-write the answers with the proper and correct work shown.
About twenty minutes later, I let out a relieved sigh as I closed my workbook and shut my homework folder and stacked them to the side. Finally, I was done reviewing and studying.
The alarm clock to the left of me read 11:29 p.m.
At this point, I had stopped being surprised by how late it was, and now was adapted to the schedule. Sure, maybe I was a bit more tired in the mornings, but that's nothing coffee can't fix.
My phone buzzed again, and I hurriedly unlocked it and scrolled to the new messages.
