Ch 11 - Being A Man

Your week in the human world was up and it was time to back to Yokai. Everyone packed their stuff and meet down at the bus stop. Everyone knew the truth by now and what you planning to do. They were worried about you. Everyone knew that you going to stand up against the most powerful S-Class vampire that exists. While everyone else was loading their luggage on the bus, the bus driver was smoking his cigar and asked you if you knew what you were getting yourself into. You just nod your head that you did. After everyone got on the bus, you guys took off back through the tunnel to Yokai. Once you got off the bus and everyone had their stuff, the bus driver just said good luck and left. Everyone walked back in silence while Miss Nekonome was worried because she didn't know what was going on and didn't like the silence. When you get to the front gates of Yokai, you guys see Ruby waiting there for everyone. Everybody exchanges greetings.

"Hey Ruby, can I talk to you in private for a minute?" You ask her.

"Sure." Ruby says.

You walk back outside the gates and deep into the forest. Once you were sure that no one was following you two, You stopped and turned towards her.

"Kokoa's father attacked her while we were on the trip. She left after a small incident and when I had found her, she was covered in blood. It seems her father has been keeping on eye on her and didn't like the fact that she loves me because I am half human and half vampire. I don't know what to do besides sparring with Kokoa and inner Moka. Is there anything that you know or can do to help me? I plan on fighting him for her." You say to Ruby.

"Hmm. Does seem like this could be a problem. I don't know any weaknesses other then water. I will have to do some research on this. All I can suggest for now is that you two never be somewhere by yourself right now. He will probably attack you or her again. I do now that as of right now that none of you are strong enough to take him head on in a fight." Ruby says.

"Thank you for your help. Shall we go back now?" You ask.

Ruby just nods her head and the two of you walk back to the school. When you get back to the gates, everyone is standing there with a curious look on their faces. You tell them everything that you and Ruby talked about. They understood and promised that from now on You and Kokoa will always have someone at your guys' side.

---mid week---

It was already middle of the week and it was after classes. There wasn't any club meeting so everyone decided to head back to their dorms. You pulled out your books to do your schoolwork. You were doing your math work when Kurumu flies through your opened window.

"Come quick. It Kokoa's father. He is here and after Kokoa again." She says hysterically.

You instantly get out of your chair and start to head for the door when Kurumu suddenly lifts you up in the air.

"It will be faster if I fly you there." she says.

With that Kurumu flies out the window while carrying you. She gets you to the area quickly and you can Kokoa and Inner Moka fighting against their father together. Their father turns and sees you.

"Ahh. Just who I was waiting for. Now to really begin this fight." He says.

Before Kokoa and Inner Moka could do anything, their father flies at you so quick that when he hit right into you, you going flying backwards into a tree. You start slipping into unconsciousness but manage to see everyone else get there in time to join in the fight. All you could about while you are knocked out is that you failed her.

---three days later---

You wake up yelling out Kokoa's name and notice that you are in the hospital wing of the school. When you look to your left side, you see Kokoa sleeping in a chair. You start to try and calm yourself down but feel guilty that you couldn't defend her. You lay there waiting for her to wake up while figuring out how to beat him in the next encounter. You know he will be back. Just when is the question. After laying there thinking for a while, Kokoa starts to stir. When she opens her eyes and sees that you are awake, she jumps on you and starts hugging and kissing while thanking that you are awake and alive. After she calms down, she summons Koa and tells him to let the others know that you are awake. When she looks back at you, she sees the look on your face.

"It's not your fault you know." She says.

You won't look at her from the guilt you feel but tell her that you know even though in your mind it is. You can't bear the thought of losing her because of you being weak. After ten minutes everyone comes rushing in to see you. You notice that Moka is still in her Inner form. She looks at you and says "I thought it would be best to stay in this form just in case he decided to come back and try again." You just nod your head. No one blamed you for what happened while they were visiting you. After a few hours, everyone left except Kokoa and Inner Moka. They help you get dressed and Inner Moka decided to speak.

"You will be staying with me and Kokoa in the club room from now on. It's best that you and Kokoa stay together and I will be staying with both of you to help protect both of you." She says.

You guys decide to go together to each person's room to grab clothes and stuff that you need and head to the club room. When the three of get there, you each decide where to sleep. Kokoa decides to sleep together with you. Once everyone had their spots picked out, the three of you decide to pack it in for the night. Kokoa fell asleep quickly. You look over at Inner Moka.

"Thank you." You say to her.

"Don't mention it and your welcome." Inner Moka says.

With that said she rolls over and falls asleep and you fall asleep while holding Kokoa.
