We cannot tell the exact moment a friendship is formed; as in filling a vessel drop by drop, there is at last a drop which makes it run over; so in a series of kindnesses, there is at last one that makes the heart run over. - Gloria Naylor

Chapter 4: The Start Of A Beautiful Friendship

"What in the fuck are you doing?" I pulled the guy I just beat from off of a girl no older than sixteen. She was clinging to her pink jacket as if her life depended on it.

"I should be asking you that." He smirked as soon as he regained his balance.

"You really don't want to smirk at me right now." I cracked my knuckles to add more volume to my threat.

"You winning was simply a stupid fluke." He seethed at me while bringing his face closer to mine.

"Sure, what ever helps you protect your pride." I crinkled my nose since this guy seriously didn't know that a mint ever existed.

"Whatever you bit-" I sort of punched him in the face because I couldn't take his manure breath anymore. He let out a grunt of pain while taking a step back to hold his bloody nose.

"You bit-"

"Here's a mint, you seriously need to put this in your mouth." I threw a mint that I got from my pocket at him, which he actually caught. While he was looking at the the mint in wonder, I took that time to punch him in the temple to knock him out. He instantly fell to the ground with the mint still in his hands.

"Are you okay?" I let concern fill my voice as I looked down to the fragile girl.

"Y-yeah." She nodded her head frantically.

"What is a girl like you doing at a place like this?" Did I seriously say such a cheesy pick-up line?

"He goes to the gym my father owns. " Her shaky finger pointed to the unconscious asshole.

"I was curious of where my father went at night, so I followed him here. I was surprised that my father was in this kind of place and I saw the fight and I couldn't take the blood and left and entered the first door I saw. I ended up in the locker room and saw the guy that goes to my father's gym .He gave me a a smile, but grabbed me a-and-"

"You don't have to explain anymore." I bent down to hold her shaking body.

"Do you know if your father is still here?" She shook her head while still clinging to my chest.

"Why don't you...get dressed so we can find him?" I helped her gather the discarded clothes and then handed them to her.She looked at me for a long time before I finally got her message. I turned around and waited for her to get changed. She tapped my shoulder after putting on her clothes.

We left the locker room and walking down the hallway that lead to the arena. Her dirty blond hair covered her face as she kept her head down. She was seriously small and it looked like she could break at a single touch. Okay, I've made up my mind .

"I'm going to teach you how to fight." The girl stopped walking and stared at me with wide eyes.

"W-What did y-you just say?" I smiled at her and put my hand on her shoulder.

"I think you should learn a couple of moves so this kind of thing won't happen ever again."

"Thank you but-"

"I'm not taking no for an answer." I gave her a serious look.

"Okay." I almost missed what she said since her voice was so soft.

"Good." She gave me a timid smile.

"I have to ask you something very important." I let my voice go down an octave.

"What is it?" Her eyes were filled with worry.

"What is your name?" I grinned at her.

"Oh, my name is Kareen Illand, but you can call me Ren."

"Well, my name is-"

"Sarenda Sitzer, I know." Ren smiled at my shocked face.

"You're pretty famous at our school."

"Wait, we go to the same school?" She nodded.

"Wow." Was all I had to say.

"We even have a couple of classes together." Ren added, which made me feel even worse for not noticing her.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled.

"Nobody really notices me since I'm pretty quiet and blend into the background. So, I don't take it to heart." Ren shrugged my apology off.

"Well, it's nice to officially meet you Kareen Illand." I held out my hand.

"The same Sarenda Sitzer." Ren gave me a full blown smile as she shook my hand.

"I believe this is the start of a beautiful friendship ."

You may have noticed the bisexual, boyxboy, girlxgirl, lesbian and gay tag on this story now and no you are most definitely not seeing it wrong. I decided to make our main character bisexual since I felt like it might spice things up just a bit. There will be boyxboy and girlxgirl in this story, but also girlxboy. I think this will also target a wide range of readers since there are not only straight people on Wattpad, but there's also the LGBT community. So if you don't like ANY of that well you can stop reading this story any further! Oh, and there is a possibility of Sarenda ending up with a chick sooo if she does then don't freak out and say it was sooo unexpected or rant in the comment section! I think that's all I wanted to say sooo peace!
