God is a Spirit. That means, for one thing, that we cannot see God. We read in John 1:18, "No man hath seen God at any time..."
When the Lord Jesus, God's Son, came to earth, He came to show us what God is like. Jesus said, "... He that hath seen me hath seen the Father." All the wonder, the beauty, the goodness, and love that were in the Lord Jesus show us what God is like.
