PLEASE READ: In this one shot, everything is as same as the show until the dargah scene where arshi meet for the second time. IT HAS NO CONNECTION WITH THE FIRST PART OF WHAT IF. It is an independent one shot.

To say he never believed in god would be a lie. He used to be a great devotee. He still remembers how he used to help his mother to prepare for the Aarti daily. Every day he used to wait for the Aarti to get over so that he could eat that special sugar free barfi his mother used to prepare for him. He used to worship god but the main role in his this action was played by his mother's belief; and he had belief in his mother's belief. He let out a strangled chortle. But what did that god give him? What did her mother get from her Devi Maiya? Pain. Sorrow. If god really existed, would she allow her fellows to dwell in pain? If she really existed would his mother have had such a horrible end? And the answer was a big NO. If that so called god really existed than his mother's years of prayers wouldn't have been gone to vain; his mother wouldn't have taken such a painful last breath. Hell! She wouldn't have left only. She would have been with him; to guide him; to love him. But such thing didn't happen and when his mother took her last breathe in his arms she not only took away his mother; his guide with her but also the belief in god she had implanted in him. From that day, he knew there was no god. From that day he decided he will write his own fate; not leave it to some non-existent Devi Maiya. And he has proven time and again that he can write his fate. In his world he was the creator and he was the destroyer.

Yet today here he was, with this dhaaga in his hand in this place where from every corner only the praise to god could be heard. He prayed as he tied that dhaaga. Prayed? He still didn't believe in god. In past it was belief in his mother's belief while at the present it was a trust in his sister's belief. Trust in the belief of his sister; his second mother; his world has though she was the one that faced the cruelty of this society due to her broken marriage and disability. But his sister was happy now and if she believes that it was because of this Devi Maiya, she prays all the time; he trusted her. And with his trust in his sister he turned the key to lock his mannat though he didn't know what he was asking for with it.

With continuous prayers going around him; he without one glance back at where that god resides took long strides out of the place until he heard that voice again that has been hunting him. The voice, that was constantly nagging him from the last night. Whenever he remembers those pleads and the emotions that beautiful eyes showed he felt vulnerable and Arnav Singh Raizada never felt that. So, he tried to distract himself through the only way he knew and that was work. But again that voice brought all those emotions back that he has been trying to fight and brought that vulnerability back again. And what he hated the most was it was in the same place which he disliked. No, he can't be weak and that mere voice and those eyes can't undo the indestructible person he has become.

With a turn to see the beauty clad in white he retorted a simple "Throw it" and turned back to get the hell out of the place that was testing every bit of patience he had with very minute he spent. He didn't need that key. The key that beholds the power to unlock the mannat that he has just asked for though he was still not sure what they have locked in it for him. What he had asked was still unknown to him and now that the key was in the hand of the girl whose every memory he was trying to avoid, he knew he would not be able to protect himself within the walls he have built around him if he beholds the key.

He faltered in his steps as she came in front of him holding her hand out to him. He knew she was stubborn just like him. He tried to threaten her with the power of his wealth but who was he kidding with? He knew that this girl didn't hold money as power. With just two meeting with her, he knew that she was just like his mother; extreme belief in god and love.
