"Damn!" My father screamed, as the sound of metal hit the concrete floor. I peeked my head out behind the blue jeep and stared at him blankly. He waved his hand in the air as he screamed in pain.
"Father, you alright there??" I laughed, picking up the wrench from the floor, my dad ignored me as he grabbed the wrench from my cold hands.
"Yes, just a minor accident." He coughed, wiping away the blood onto his jeans.
"Yeah right!" I replied, spinning around in my chair, cleaning a spare part from the jeep. I could hear my dad mess around with the jeep, along with the millions of cuss words along with it. I laughed some as my mom pulled up in the driveway, my little sister in the passengers side. They both got out of the car, both smiling brightly as my sister grabbed her school bag from the backseat. My mom walked into the garage and planted a light kiss on my head before joining my dad.
"You'll never guess what happened today Ari!" Erica said, her short brown hair falling into her face, covering her light blue eyes. I set the part down, lifting my head up and smiling.
"What happened??" I said happy, standing up from the spinning chair.
"I finally had the guts to ask my crush out!" She squealed, her pale face lighting up.
"Good! What did he say?" I replied, pushing my dirty blonde hair out of my face.
"He said he really likes me too! And that he will take me to the homecoming dance!" She squealed more, her cheeks turning a little red. I lifted my hand up giving her a hive five before letting out a small laugh.
"Well your going right?" I asked, looking at my parents in the corner of my eye.
"Well duh! I mean I'm 14 and it's my first dance! How could I say no?!" she said sarcastically, gripping her backpacks strap tightly. My mom walked over and placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled.
"Your not going to any dance until that homework is finished Erica." She demanded, shooting her a look, Erica sighed and gave me a sad look.
"Fine..." she mumbled, her head hanging low as she walked inside.
"So Aria, now that your sister is gone. We need to talk about college." My mom said, crossing her arms as she leaned up against the workers table. I rolled my eyes and sighed loudly, rubbing my face before speaking.
"Mom I'm a junior I know I only have one year. But I just don't want to go to college.." I replied planting my butt back on the spinning chair. Her and my dad gave me a glance as they sighed loudly, I could tell my mom was getting mad but I didn't care. She knew the answer and it's going to stay the same.
"Your photos are really good Aria! And your writing too! I know I've told you this a million times but please..just think about it." She mumbled, smiling as she gave me another kiss on the head, before giving my dad a glance and walking inside to join my sister. I sighed, grabbing the part from the workers table, and starting to clean it again.
My alarm clock sounded, I snoozed it for 5 minutes before finally getting up. I let up the blind to my window, watching the rain hit the window harshly. I grabbed a pair of jeans from my love-seat, they probably had holes in them but oh well. I grabbed a regular t-shirt and threw it over my bra, looking at my messy hair in the mirror, as I had bags under my eyes and my eyes were shinning a bright blue. I closed my eyes and slapped my cheeks, making a red handprint on my face along with trying to wake myself up. I opened the door and Misty ran in and ran straight for the pile of clothes on my floor. Misty meowed loudly and starting rolling her black fur all around my clothes. I just laughed and grabbed my stuff, shutting the door behind me.
