Let's Be Heroes pt 3

Rad's pov: While I was taking care of my phone, I look around the corner and see Zandy and KO at the checkout stand. Man, Zandy is so beautiful, sweet, nice, and kinda hot too. 'Woah, did I just think that?' I thought. I blushed just thinking about it. I didn't realize that I was staring at her for so long, because she took one look at me and I hid right back behind the isle.

Zandy's pov: After KO purchased his things, I had a feeling that I was being watched. I look behind me and see Rad staring at me. He blushed and hid back behind the isle. I couldn't help but blush as well. I honestly find him very attractive as well. 'Hold it, Zandy, you just met him. Don't go all fangirly' I thought. Me and KO exit the bodega, when all of a sudden, a huge crate from the Boxman place from across the street appeared out of the sky. Then, out of the crate, came a red robot named Darrell. "I am Darrell, and I've come to destroy" he said, blasting everything. Me and KO ducked down when one of the blasts almost hit us. "Hey Darrell, I'm KO and this is my big sis, Zandy" he said, waving at the robot. "Don't wave at him, KO, he's evil" I tell him. I then hear the sliding doors of the bodega open and heard Enid say "KO, don't wave at him, he's evil" she said. "That's what I said to him" I said to myself. I hear Rad say 'that's adorable', which causes me to blush. I get in front of KO and said "don't worry, KO, I won't let that little bucket of bolts hurt-". Before I could say anything else, KO steps forward and go for the robot. "KO, wait!" I shouted. Rad and Enid walk up to me and Rad said "You know your little bro's gonna get wrecked out there". "I know, he's gonna get himself hurt if he's not careful" I said to him, twisting my hair nervously. "Man, she's so cute when she does that" Rad whispers, but I clearly heard him. I blush and said to him "really?" "Uh, nothing, I didn't say anything". I giggle as Enid whispers to him "nice one".

Then, I see KO try to block Darrell's punch with his gauntlets, but failed to do so. He then trips on his towel cape, landed on his lightning nachos, causing him to get electrocuted and fly to the wall. "KO!!" I shouted as I ran to him. I go to his side and tried to wake him up. "KO, come on little bro, wake up!" I said to him. I'll tell you, I was in full on panic mode right now. I then felt someone tap my shoulder. I turn around and see a skeleton guy offering me help. "Allow me, ma'am" he said. He starts to lightly smack his face, trying to get him to wake up, which worked. "KO, are you okay?!" I asked him, still panicked. All I got from him was a groan. Once he was fully awake, the skeleton guy explains to him what happened. By the look on KO's face, he was very disappointed. "I recorded the whole thing if you want to check it out" the guy said as he showed him the video on his phone. I pulled him aside and said to him "are you trying to help him feel better or make him feel worse" Before he could answer, I hear KO say "I can't believe it. That fight felt so intense, but it wasn't real, just like my big dream. I thought I'd already become a hero, but all I did was wear stuff and get my butt kicked". Hearing him say that, I moved away from the skeleton guy and to my little brother. I kneel down to his height and said "hey, it's okay, man. Nobody starts off perfect on they're first fight" "No, it's alright. Who am I kidding? I'm not even close to being there yet". Before I could say anything else, I hear a whistle coming from the sky. We look up and see Mr. Gar aiming himself straight for Darrell. Then, he takes the robot down with an amazing elbow punch(I honestly don't know what it's called), instantly destroying him. He turns to Rad and Enid and said "you two, get this mess cleaned up" "Yes sir" they both said in union.

"Mondays, am I right?" Mr. Gar said before he left. As he left, Rad says "man, Mr. Gar is pretty cool. But, like, how'd he even get up there?" "He's level 11 dude, come on" Enid said to him. I turn my attention back to KO, who still had a sad look upon his face. "Aw, don't worry, KO. There will be other fights. Pretty soon, you're going to be the greatest hero I've ever known" I said to him, comforting him. He was quiet as he silently looks at his Mr. Gar power card. He seemed to be thinking to himself about something. I sigh as I get up and walk over to where Rad and Enid were. I sigh once again, catching the blue alien's attention. "Hey, Zandy, you okay?" he asked me. "I can't help but feel bad for KO, he put so much effort in trying to fight Darrell" I explained. "It's nothing to worry about. Like you said, it was his first fight. I'm sure he'll get better" he said. I look at him, surprised to hear those words come out. "Do you really think so?" I said to him. Then, I see him get up and stand proudly over the stuff he threw off himself and tears starts to wield in his eyes. 'There's the KO I know' I thought as I smiled. "Yo, Enid, check out the squirt. Nice face, right?" I hear Rad say to Enid, chuckling a little. I kind of glared at him for saying that. "Ah, I don't know. I could get used to it" Enid said. I smiled at that. I look to them and said "hey, do you guys need any help picking up these parts?" "Well-" Enid was about to say, but Rad interrupted her. "Sure ya can, we could use the help". I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. 'He maybe a little rude, but he's still cute' I thought as I helped him and Enid out with the cleaning.
