"Right this way My Lady," Kol said smugly as he opened the door to his apartment.
I planted my feet in the ground and glared at him, folding my arms indignantly. He sighed and rolled his eyes before walking over to me, he put his hand on my shoulder and bent his knees to be eye level with me.
"Remember a few miles back, when I compelled you to do as I say? Well this is me saying to get inside the apartment Darling," he smirked. I narrowed my eyes even further and pushed past him angrily.
"All you had to do was start drinking vervain, put it in your tea in the morning...not that goddamn hard Nevada." I chastised myself.
My mind was whirling, thinking of a plan to escape. As I stepped inside the apartment I scanned the room for windows as well as anything I could use as a weapon. I trailed my fingers over the counter, spotting a steak knife on the counter.
Before my eyes the knife was snatched up, and I whipped my head to see Kol slide it onto the very top of the cupboards where I could never reach it. As he turned back to me he smirked once more and I narrowed my eyes even further at him.
"What do you want with me Kol?" I shook my head.
"I want you to admit what I already know, that you're a witch," he chuckled.
I furrowed my eyebrows at his words.
"So if I say right now that I'm a witch you would let me go?" I scoffed.
"Oh no no no Darling, I could always use a witch around to help me out," he laughed, moving closer to me.
"Too bad I'm not a witch," I rolled my eyes and walked away from him to look around his apartment. He stayed in the kitchen while I explored a bit. I noted how big the place was and couldn't help but be impressed...or at least the inner college student was impressed by the excess space.
I found myself in the bathroom, and immediately saw what my escape route would be, the windows were easy to access and big enough to fit a person. I smiled a bit and fought the urge to cheer, telling myself I had to wait for Kol to fall asleep before I attempted anything.

"So what time does this horrible day come to an end anyway?" I said with disdain later that night, giving Kol a look from the couch I was lazing on.
"You tired over there Sweetheart?" he chuckled, causing me to glare at him and not answer.
"It's alright, we can turn in for today if you'd like, I've got plenty of patience," he smirked.
I indignantly stood up and stomped towards the first door I saw, when I opened it I realized immediately it was his room.
"Where's your spare bedroom?" I asked without turning. I felt him walk up behind me and shivered slightly at his breath on my neck.
"Don't have one Darling, looks like we're sharing," he murmured. I spun on my heel to face him, finding him even closer than I originally thought. Words escaped my mouth for a moment before sense returned to me. I shoved past him and stormed towards the couch.
"I'll sleep out here tonight," I spat.
I felt Kol grab me around the waist and pull me back.
"Oh that is not happening, have to make sure you don't try and escape," he laughed and led me back to the room.
I stumbled inside as he shut the door and walked towards his cupboard. He pulled out a t-shirt of his and tossed it towards me, I caught it hesitantly. I bit my lip and nodded slightly, accepting that jeans wouldn't be the most comfortable to sleep in.
"Turn around," I ordered and he laughed, raising his hands in defence and slowly turning around.
I quickly undressed and slipped the shirt on, then bundled my clothes up and threw them in the corner. I didn't say a word to Kol as I walked towards the giant bed against the wall and slid under the covers. I turned on my side and closed my eyes when heard him flick off the lights.
I felt the bed dip besides me and was immediately aware of the heat he was projecting. I knew he was close enough to reach out and touch and clenched my eyes shut even tighter, scooting to the edge of the bed.
I started planning my escape route in detail as the minutes slowly drifted past.
I did my best to stay awake but still felt myself drifting off, when I managed to wake up a while later I was intertwined with Kol.
I felt my heart beat increase as I felt his arms wrapped around me, inched slightly under the oversized t-shirt I was wearing. I was breathing onto his bare chest and had to force myself to keep my breath steady to keep from waking him. I slowly untangled my legs from his and gently lifted his arms away from me.
I shut my eyes and counted to 100 before slowly getting out of bed and tip toeing towards the door, opening it with the greatest care I could manage. I made my way to the bathroom I had seen earlier and smiled to see the window was still there and hadn't magically disappeared.
Getting out was even easier than I had imagined, save for some jumping I had to do into some nearby trees to get to ground level again. When I reached the ground I didn't waste any time slowing down and instead made a break in the direction I remembered us coming from.
