"Watson! Come at once! Watson! Hey Watson, come here at once! Watson! Watson! Watson, can you hear me? Watson!". Sherlock Holmes furiously typed a long text message into his iPhone. "Watson, come here! Wartson I need you! Oops, I typed Wartson".

A door creaked and Dr. John Watson entered. He looked at Holmes and shook his head.

"Holmes, you could have just called for me. You love texting too much. You know I leave my phone set to silent a lot of the time when I'm working, don't you?"

Sherlock laughed. He knew that texting Watson wasn't the fastest way to get his attention, but he just loved doing it.

It had been just over 3 years since Holmes and Watson had travelled through time to 2009, but Sherlock still couldn't get over the amazing technology available.

In the late 1800s, Sherlock and Watson lived in London, in a small flat they shared with Ricky, a Spanish sailor. The greatest technology of that time was a brand new thing called the automobile, created by Tagichi Hyundai in 1896, and imported directly to London, and then on to the rest of Europe.

Sherlock couldn't get enough of his iPhone or laptop. He would often joke with Watson that if smartphones existed in 1890s London, he would have been out of a job. They always had a laugh about this. Mostly Sherlock.

For all his talk, the thing he ended up doing most on his phone was just sending text messages to friends. Playing Doodle Jump was a close second; Sherlock could just not get enough of the game, even after it had fallen out of fashion. "Why would I want to play Angry Birds?" he would often say, "If I wanted Angry Birds, I would have stayed in 1890s London, where birds were constantly angry at me". A lot of things had changed since the 1890s, but British people still called women 'birds'.
