"Heritage not Hate"
"It's our History'
"Southern Pride"These are some things I hear used in reference to the confederate flag. My response-
- Your heritage is hate
- Yes, it's your history, but its not a history to be proud of
- No, it's not "Southern Pride".Supporters of the confederate flag say things like "We went to war over our rights!" then say "It's not racist, you are for thinking it is!"
Yes, you went to war over your rights.... Your right to hold slaves and treat human beings like animals because of the color of their skin.
How does thinking that rag is racist, make me a racist? Just how? Somebody please explain that to me.
That flag represents hatred, racism, and white supremacy. The South threw a tantrum, because the people in charge told them they had to treat the 'darkies' like human beings. There's also the matter of the confederate monuments. Those monuments are glorifying racism and hatred. Yes it's history, but those statues are uplifting a past filled witju racism. Put them in a museum somewhere, call it the Museum of the Confederacy or something. Just take them all down.
