The New Manager

The gym screeched with people running around practicing basketball. A light teal haired girl watched the basketball players play. The girl wore a Seirin uniform. Her hands carried her school bag on the front of her body. Her face was new to the first years so, she must have just transferred here.

Kagami passed Izuki who was blocking him and dunked the ball, thus ending the game. Rika blew the whistle and addressed the end of practice. Everyone dispersed while Kuroko looked right at the teal haired girl. He hadn't seen her before. Curiosity won him over and made him walk over to the overly attentive girl who was too focused on Kagami.

"Um, excuse me." Kuroko tapped her shoulder lightly.

"Ah! Where did you come from?" Kana shouted, startled at his presence. Who was he? Normally, she should be able to notice when he walked up to her. Her shout caught the attention of the team including Rika.

"I was right here. " he said. His face was monotonous as usual.

"What's going on?" Rika walked over here. She looked the girl who is clearly cuter than her.

"Kuroko, didn't I tell not to scare people like that." Rika reprimanded him. He was always startling them with his sudden appearance in the beginning . His weak presence is extremely scary.

"Do you need anything?" She returned back to Kana. Kagami also came over with Hyūga, Izuki, Koganei, Mitonobe, Teppei following behind.

"No. I'm here to see if you are still accepting managers." She replied. Her eyes shy away from the curious looks from the team.

"Manager?" Rika looked at the team questionably, confused at her question. "Yes, we would like to have a manager. But, where did you get the news that we're requesting for managers?"

"Oh, I saw a flyer in the message board near the teacher's room." Kana answered. She recalled a pretty poster of a boy dunking a basketball and on the bottom it stated that they needed a manager. The poster was pinned to the message board.

"Can you show me where it is?" Rika dragged Kana out of the gym, leaving the boys behind.

"Hyuga senpai, were you the one who put up the poster?" Kuroko questioned.

"Yeah,"Hyūga scratches his neck. "But, I wasn't the only one. " he looked at Teppei and Izuki while saying that.

"Come on, let's go see what the girls are doing." Koganei said. Kagami, Kuroko and the others looked at him dubiously. "To see if Aida San is mad." He explained gleefully. Hyūga , Teppei and Izuki sweated. Uh oh. They rushed to the message board and hide behind the wall.

Rika had already seen the poster and was skipping alongside Kana. This is bad, the boys thought.

"Why did you have to put up that poster? " Kagami whispered." Now, we're all getting in trouble."

"I didn't think someone would actually come." Hyūga was under Kagami and Kuroko below him. Teppei was standing next to them while Koganei was in the middle of Hyūga and Kagami.

"So, does this mean you don't want to get a manager." Kana fretted. She played with her fingers. Rika stopped skipping.

"No, I would love to have you as a manager." Her reply brought relief to both Kana and the boys. Hyūga and Kagami sighed.

"Really? Oh, thank you so much. When do I start?" Kana grabbed her hand and thanked her. Startled by the sudden contact, Rika stuttered. "Uh, tomorrow, Yeah, you start tomorrow.What's your name?"

"Kana, Midorima Kana." She smiled. She stepped back and bowed to her. "It's nice meet me you."

"Ehhhhh!" The boys fell all over each other at her answer. Rika and Kana looked at them.

"Midorima San , you're related to Midorima Shintarō?" Kuroko asked.

"Eh. Kuroko, you didn't know." Hyūga and the others looked surprised. Kuroko was supposed to know everything about the generation of miracles since he was one of them. So he didn't know, Kana thought.

"I never heard about you before from midorima."

"This is getting interesting. Midoroma San, can you please explain?" Rika glinted in a dangerous light.

"Eh, uh, I guess so." Kana said.
