Layla:

"Layla, please." My mom pleaded, wanting my complaining to stop.

"What?! Why can't I stay in New York while you and dad 'go home!'" I asked, groaning loudly, looking out the window annoyed.

Goodbye friends, goodbye school, goodbye New York.

"Honey, we aren't coming back. Besides, you'll love it there. It's more relaxing and calm."

My parents think moving out of the city and back to our hometown will be good for me. But I love my old life, nothing was wrong! I loved my friends and my school. I didn't mind going to school a private school or wearing a uniform. I sighed heavy, no point in fighting anymore.

I look over at Apollo, my Alaskan husky asleep in his dog car seat.

I'm sure Apollo is going to love having a big yard and the outdoors. Maybe I'll like it too.

"What's the name of the town again?" I asked aloud.

"Forks. The wonderful place where your mother and I grew up, fell in love and had a made you-"My dad started

"Dad! TMI!" I huffed.

He laughed, "You were born there in the Forks hospital and grew up with all of our family and friends." He smiled, reminiscing.

My parents think I'm stressed but I'm not sure. My temper has been short and I get angry now at the stupidest things!

**Flashback**

"WHERE IS HE?!" I yelled through the house, storming through every room.

"Where's who, hun?" My mom asked, looking up from her laptop in her office.

"My dog." I replied coldly.

"He's not in his kennel?" She asked, starting to get concerned.

"Do you think I would be asking you this if he was?! Did you take him away from me?!" I started to raise my voice.

My mom getting a bit agitated at my tone, "Layla Blacksmith. Watch the way to talk to me. I told you I have no idea where he is. Maybe he's with your father."

I started to huff and breathe heavy, feeling myself about to snap.

"Layla?" my father asked calmly, walking into the study with Apollo freshly groomed by his side.

I looked at everyone in shock.

"I...I'm so sorry!" I hugged my mom and knelt, kissing my Apollo on the top of his head.

That night was the last straw of my behavior. My parents told me the city life was changing me. But I feel like there's something else to this story.

"We're here honey!" My mom smiled.

I looked out the window at the huge almost mansion that was in the middle of the forest.

"Is this our house?" I asked in awe.

They both laughed, "Yup." Dad said, smiling proudly at our new home.

I walk out of the car with Apollo on his leash.

This house is huge! I'm so used to our townhouse which was big too but... nothing like this.

I'm sure Apollo will love having a forest in our backyard.

I smiled at my eager boy.

"This place is amazing!" I smiled at my parents.
