Just a few more days till i get to see my princess, oh my, three years of waiting felt like three lifetimes. Alhamdulilah (thank allah) we will be reunited!
My mother bought me a golden suit for the engagement party, one hint, Anika's dress is gold.
Man, getting married is so hectic! From the planning to shopping to inviting! It's so tiring yet exciting! What a beautiful bond marriage is.
In my life I've never actually been to an engagement party. So I don't know what it's like. I'm guessing it's just a party where you celebrate two beings getting engaged!
Since Anika and i have decided to plan our wedding ourselves we also had to plan the engagement party. The venue we chose is so beautiful. It's a big meadow with flowers and there's a pond. We rented a huge tent so when it's time for salat (prayer) we can pray.
Only two days before the party!
Anika's P.O.V.
It's so hot! Thank allah my dress is not that heavy! Only two more days till my engagement! Aha! I'm so excited. In shah allah (if allah wills) nothing bad will happen!!!
"ANIKA! COME DOWN, GUESTS FROM TORONTO HAVE ARRIVED!" yelled my mom right when i was about to take off my hijab! "COMING" i replied.
I came downstairs as quick as i could. In the living my great aunt and uncle were there with their suitcases. I took the suitcases and put them in the guest-room. Phew! Those were heavy! What do they have in there? Rocks?
"Asalamualaykhum (greeting in Islam) " I greeted them. "Walaykhum asalam (reply to greeting)" they replied. I asked about their health, and then it was time for diner.
After we all finished eating we all went shopping for last minute things like nail polish and makeup!
