“Mother, why do I have to get dressed for just a stupid boy..?” Bloody Waters was sitting in front of her mother, her back to her while she was resting on her knees. She was having her hair braided since one of the many princes from England, or as the children would call them, "The Lonley Thieves." They always come to the Tribe of Kihiw, which means Eagle in Cree.
Bloody Waters was one of the few girls, who didn’t like when the princes of the England came. She always found them to be, self-centered and weren’t even that attractive. But every time they came, she was supposed to be dressed up, and let her ‘beautiful feathers’ show, as her mother always said it. She had just turned 16, and was possibly one of the few pretty and most pleasant girls in the whole village. She always honest could hardly tell lies. This was a blessing and a curse.
When her mother was finished, she wrapped her arms around her, so she couldn’t move anyway, and hugged her tightly. Making her giggle a bit, since her hugs were always the best. As her mother mumbled in her ear, it tickling her cheek “Because, the chief demands it and it could be the best for our tribe, if one of you girls were chosen.”
Bloody hugged her back, before standing up, and slipping on her headrest, it having the most delicate feather in the back of it, and it complimented all of her. Since her figure was so small, her green eyes, and perfectly shaped lips. Her thick brown hair, reaching her shoulders when braided. But if it was combed out, it reached her mid-back. Having a slight wave to it, which it just made you want to run your hands through it, knowing you weren’t going to hit a snag.
When they got outside, all of the girls stood in a line. Most excited or scared, that a prince was coming. But Bloody, just found it as a reoccurrence, which grew to be annoying after a while. Soon, everyone started quieting down, which meant he was here. Even if she found any princes an annoyance, she still got nervous knowing one was here.
