The only thing I wanted was a simple life with a simple family living a relatively not so interesting life. However that never really did happened. See the closest thing that I have had to a prefect simple life was the day of my high school graduation. This also happened to be one of the worst not so simple nights of my life.
Lets start from the beginning. It was June 7th the day of my long awaited graduation. I have never really enjoyed school but I managed to make it out of that hell hole with a decent 3.5 GPA. I was happy with my grades and I was as happy as I could get with my life. Waking up that morning everything felt different, but I just placed that feeling on the fact that I knew I wouldn't ever be going back to high school again, but none the less everything felt right. The prefect temperature shower, the birds were chirping, and even my asshole of a step father gave me a pat on the back with a deep voiced "congrats kid" as i walked out of my room.
I walked into the kitchen where I saw my mother sitting at the kitchen table sipping her morning coffee. We greeted each other with a good morning an she continued enjoying her warm drink. Before I could finish stuffing my face with a quick breakfast of whatever I could find in the fridge I heard my mothers voice from behind me.
" Your not really going to wear that for today ,are you?"
"Ha, No Sarah hash my suit, she took it with her dress to the dry cleaners." I let about a chuckle trying to talk over a mouth full of blueberry muffin.
"Oh and please be careful on that.... death trap. I want to see you in one piece when you receive your diploma." She says doing what mothers do best, worry.
"Yes mother I will, I love you" I shouted as I walked through the front door grabbing my helmet.
It didn't take me long to get to my girlfriend Sarah. I picked her up and soon we were off to meet up with my best friend and his new collage going love interest at the local waffle house. After having probably to large of a breakfast we headed back to Sarah's house to get ready and soon we were off. Now I would tell you more about the acrimony but it was relatively normal. We walked up people cried I saw my mother in the stands shouting when my name was called, and I was glad when I noticed an absence of a certain step father, But aside from that everything was fine. Afterwards my mother took the three of us out to an early dinner and after that we went our separate ways, and headed home.
When I made It home the sun was barley setting, but I felt quite tired so I figured I should get some sleep and get an early start on figuring out what I was going to do tomorrow.
I woke up to the sound of breaking glass, and screaming....
