THE ROYAL KISS

"It will only take one kiss and he will be fine," Said the royal shaman.

"Well, that is easy," Shin-young thought. She never thought that all she had to do to save the king is to present him a kiss. Her kiss.

"But, it came with a dire consequence," the shaman walked closer to Shin-young and hold her hands firmly. She whispers something onto her ears, after hearing what the shaman had to say, Shin-young nodded and the shaman let go of her hands.

She walked slowly as she approached the king's chamber, her heart beats so fast and she was trembling, but as a queen, she maintained her pose. All the maids bowed before her. She walked slowly and gracefully as she was thought before, by the palace maids that trained her, days and nights, just to prepare her to take the role as the queen, mother of the nations.

"No, don't do this, you know for sure what will happen to you if you go on with your plan!" Prince Jin Dae stormed into the queen's chamber without permission.

Shin young was almost done being dressed by the palace maids. She was not perplexed by Prince Jin Dae's sudden arrival as she knew very well how fast stories can travel in the palace, so she kept a straight face as she looked at Prince Jin Dae.

"I want to speak with the prince alone," Shin young said to her eunuch. Within seconds all the maids was ushered out from the room.

"Don't do this!" Prince Jin Dae demanded. "I know how he treated you poorly in this lonely palace, why do you need to sacrifice yourself for my ruthless brother?!" the prince marched towards Shin young and grabbed her shoulder. "Come to your sense Shin young!" he called her name as beads of tears were forming in his eyes. He couldn't believe his ears at first when he overheard his palace maid's gossip. He was mad at Shin Young, why does she need to do what the stupid shaman asked her to?! Didn't she know the consequences of her action?! Most of all, didn't she know that he love her?

"Its Your Majesty, call me Your Majesty as I am your queen," She backed away from the prince's strong grip as she looked into the prince's eyes. "I'm sorry...", she whispered to herself.

Prince Jin Dae was taken aback by the queen's word. She is right all the time, she is his brother's wife after all, she is The King's wife, The Queen. She was right all the time! It was only him, he is the only one who harbored feelings for her ever since she entered the palace. Ever since their eyes meet and their hands touch.

"I'm sorry for my misbehavior my queen, forgive me," He lowered his head and marched out from the room in disappointment.

After the prince left the room, Shin young shed the transparent beads that started to roll down her cheeks. Yes, she cried. The prince was right, the king is known to be a ruthless ruler after all, and he always treat her no better than the harems, maybe worst. She pitied herself, why does she need to be in this situation? The king never showed his affection for her, he despised her as she is the daughter of the king's arch enemy.

She knew from the start that their marriage is political, nothing much, there is no love story to begin with, she never asked for it, although she really adored the king since he was still the crown prince, but she prefer a marriage that starts with love, not politics.

At first, she hates her father for doing that to her and the king, but at the same time she was relieved that now she can see the love of her life every single day. She thought everything is going to be okay, but no, her life is just getting worst as the king keeps on insulting her, breaks her heart and didn't even care about her.
