The glass was all over the floor, and a few had gone into Margaret's arm. Margret scrambled up, and over to me, with blood rushing down her arm. I tried to get up, but I couldn't. Somebody suddenly jumped into the room. It was my dad Margaret screamed, grabbing my hand, she squeezed it, tight. My dad put his gun up to his head.
"I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused you" he Said.
"Dad, no please, Sage and Mom are already gone, I can't loose-"
Bang. He pulled the trigger, but nothing happened. The gun was out of ammo. I got up, it took all my strength and hugged my dad. All the sudden he picked me up, and jumped out the window, running.
He ran for about five miles, he was a marathon runner. Finally we came to a stop.
"Daddy, what are you doing?"
"I made a mistake, if my little girl was to get hurt, I could never forgive myself" he was against the wall in the ally.
"Dad-"
Then all went dark, as I collapsed.
**********************************************
"Wake up!" My dad was practically screaming.
I had fainted, I was dying. The wounds hurt, and I could barely grasp the air I was getting through my lungs. My dad was on the phone.
"Bring an ambulance!" He exclaimed. "We're in an alley in downtown Greenville!" "There on their way sweet heart"
My dad had more ammo. He left the full box, along with the gun beside me. Then like a flash he was gone. I was all alone. It wasn't like I wasn't used to being alone, I did it all the time, I liked it. This time was different though. I was dying alone. Then I saw Sage's sweet face. He was right beside me holding my hand.
"Your not alone" he said.
"I'm dying" I got out surprisingly.
"Dying isn't so bad, really, you can sleep in, and not have to go to school."
I saw him get up, and help my ghost up. My lifeless body was just laying there. I bent down, and examined the gun. It had a folded up note inside the trigger spot. I opened it up.
Dear Megan, If your reading this, your alive. I am on the run, you know where we used to spend evert Sunday night in the summer? I'm there. Come live with me, I promise I will change, I love you. Dad
"Did you read it?" I asked Sage.
"He's going to my house!?" Wondered Sage.
"No stupid, he is going to the lake, the little abandoned shack, where he would whip me, it was far away from everywhere else, so no one could hear my screams. " I used to play princess with dad there, when he wasn't insane." Dad loves me really. He just drinks......a lot. There was nothing I could do now. The paramedics were touching my lifeless body, I decided to leave.
