Kaia laid in her hospital bed. Her eyes closed, mouth shut, but her ears wide open. She could sense everyone around her. She could feel the presence of a body, and their gaze. The sick feeling she had spread throughout her body. Seeped through her bones. The room was filled with complete silence until the the presence spoke.
"You're a money maker, darling." She heard. The voice sounded pure evil. She recognized it, and it made her terrified. "You're a success. You're also lucky. We killed the others." The voice laughed, and then it was gone.
Like a whisper. It stayed with her, and she couldn't shake it off. Her mind flooded with images of children being slaughtered one by one. The voice laughing the same way she did while standing over the hospital bed.And just like that. Her eyes snapped open.
The sight of a black room came into her vision. The door was locked shut. Her arms and legs were chained down to the bed. She didn't know where she was, or what she was doing there. She only knew one thing really. She needed to get out of there.
She closed her eyes tightly, and clenched her fists. She thought of the children that were killed, and she remembered how she was snatched from her parents, how they locked her in a black room. Anger rose within her. Her eyes flashed a shade of dark red and she let out a sound.
"SCCCCCRRRRREEEECCCCCHHHH" The sound echoed throughout the room, and the hallways. The glasses broke and crashed to the ground. The chains and her hands and feet fell to the ground and the door that once kept her from the outside world flew open. She heard the panic outside and stood up to her feet as a smile crept up on her face.
"SOMEONE. GET HER! GO NOW!" She heard the voice yell. She raised her eyebrows, shocked to see that they were even trying to come against her. They clearly didn't know what they have created. She sat back down on the bed. She heard multiple footsteps approach the space behind her.
"Wait! Wait." The voice said. Kaia slowly stood up and turned around. She heard the breathing quicken of people around her. The heartbeats of them. She looked at them as victims, and she was eager to give them a taste of their own medicine. They saw her eyes. They're eyes widened and they backed up. She got a kick out of it, and struggled to hold her smile in. It spread across her face, and the horror on their faces made her heart jump. She raised her hand, ever so slowly. The woman who had been speaking to her screamed.
"NOW FIRE!!!" The men held up their guns and shot at her. One bullet, two bullets, three. Any human would be dead. The first shot would have killed you. But Kaia, she wasn't human. She stood still, watching the men run out of bullets. Her hand remained in the air, all she had to do was turn it, then all of their lives would be flashing before their eyes. All she had to do was turn her hand and then she was be victorious. And she did. All of the men dropped to the ground. Lifeless. The woman stood shaken, her eyes practically bulging out of her head. Kaia observed as the woman fell to the ground, scrambling to get a gun that wasn't empty. She held the small thing up at her, and she couldn't help but frown. The woman's look of horror grew worse, and she stood her ground trying to look stronger, puffing her chest and clicking the gun.
"I'll use this, Kaia. I swear I'll do it. I created you I can destroy you." Kaia blinked at her. This whole thing was a joke to her. No one could defeat her, and she was determined to show her that.Kaia slowly walked towards her, admiring how she looked. Terrified the same way she scared Kaia in her hospital bed.
She stared at her, and made a swatting motion. The woman instantly flew towards the wall. Head first. Her screams filled the room. And she was knocked out, her body slid to the ground.
Kaia stared, her eyes widened, and erupted with laughter.
"You can't kill me." She whispered.
And with that, she exited the building.
