she was standing with her toes in the sand
her hair flowing in the wind
her eyes tracing the edge of they water

he was admiring her beauty from the ice-cream stand
in awe of her
only her

she was crumbling slowly inside
her facade strong like an obsidian wall
comes shattering down in a million pieces

he sees the tears fall to the sand
the movement of her back as she sobs
the pain in her face

she feels a burn in the back of her throat
the sinking feeling  in the pit of he stomach
the agony of her heavy heart

he hears her silent scream
the pain in her eyes
the emotion

she turns and sees him

he sees her

she feels the heartache leave

he knows he is hers

she knows she is his
