You were taking things slow. The both of you weren't ones to do that but that was the reason both your relationships never worked out in the past. It was hard for both of you but you knew it was going to make you so much closer in the end. Everything was going to be so much better after waiting and you knew it was going to be worth it.
It was 9 months into your relationship with Taylor. You, by shock, still hadn't slept with each other. You hadn't thrown the l word around which also came to a shock since that word is used so much now a days. You kept it simple and sweet. Which let's just say was hard for Taylor, but he managed.
It was getting close to your 10 month anniversary and Taylor was planning a simple but romantic night with you. He liked being over the top but he knew you were the opposite so he tried to tone it down on special nights just to please you.
He rented out an entire restaurant just for the two of you, it was his way of working around being extravagant without you getting mad about it. He had picked you up in his brand new corvette, and drove you to the location. He was beautiful. Candles were set on a table in the middle of the restaurant. You were the center attention, just as both you and Taylor liked to be.
The dinner was delicious, but it was food, all food is delicious. He took you to your favorite view in town and pulled down the top of his corvette and sat in the back seat with you looking up at the stars with you in his arms. You guys sat in silence which was also a rare occurrence for you two.
"Hannah, I don't think I've said this but you look beautiful tonight." He looked down at your breaking the silence. It made a smile spread across your face from ear to ear. "You look very handsome as well Taylor." You patted your hand against his chest.
You could tell his was a little nervous but he knew he had a lot on his plate to impress you. "Babe, you know you don't have to be nervous." He looked at your quickly. "I'm not nervous I don't know what you are talking about!" He spoke quick lying straight to your face and you just laughed. He was too cute but you weren't going to question him anymore. You knew he would eventually calm down.
You spent a few hours just sitting and laying in the back of his car in his arms staring silently at the moving stars. You had your head against his chest and you could hear his heartbeat fasten and slow down through the night. It was a peacefully sound. His hand traced small circles against your back and arm through the night. It was his way of calming down whenever he was nervous. You thought it was so cute.
You placed a light kiss against his lips rested your head against his chest again. It surprised him, he wasn't expecting it at all and when you listened to his heart again you could hear the difference in the pace. It was faster like he had butterflies fluttering around in his tummy.
"Hans?" He broke what felt a never ending silence that was honestly at no way at all awkward. You nodded your head as a response. He placed his thumb under your chin and lifted your head to look at him. You smiled looking into his eyes. "I love you."
