The Black Rose

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess, she was so beautiful that the sun itself was so jealous of her it hid because it could never shine as bright as her smile. And the ocean so deep could not even reach the depth her gorgeous crystal blue eyes would take you. No one sees her smile or her crystal eyes now. She was walking in one of the palace gardens when she saw something she had never seen before, a black rose. She had seen everything in those gardens, she walked there all the time. But this rose, this black rose, was new. Of course out of curiosity she went over, her petite fingers gently felt the smooth petals, she bent down to smell the strange flower, but the second she did, she fell.

I know, I know, average fairy tale; princess falls into deep sleep, Prince comes and falls in love with her for her looks, he kisses her, They get married and they all live happily ever after... but not in this story. No one knows if she will ever wake up, she's not dead it's almost like she is just asleep but never wakes up. Everyone in the kingdom misses her, they all enjoyed her company because on top of being gorgeous she never acted like she was better than anyone else, even a pesent.

I can't help it i'm jealous of her I know it sounds wrong and mean to be jealous but it's hard she's beautiful and generous and I'm just an average person. She probably feels terrible for her kingdom, they're all so sad, "she just wants them to be happy." She wishes she could help but she feels like she is stuck in a black hole, unable to feel, move, and address her kingdom. She also probably misses her boyfriend he loves her anyone can tell, even now he comes and talks to her everyday even though he always gets the same thing...nothing. He along with the rest of the kingdom hopes so much that she wakes up and they can hear her voice that sounds like an angel's, but it's been so long everyone is losing hope she will ever come back, and fast.

I wish I was capable of helping the kingdom then everyone would be less depressed at least. I feel bad for what I did to that rose. I was walking by a rose garden on my way home from school all I did was pick one and when I got home I used a scientific expertment I came up with to change the color. I had no idea it had made it poisonous. I had pulled it up from the root very carefully so that it may be able to be planted again. The next day I went to the palace and knocked on the huge doors and someone answered. I had no idea who he was and I was nervous. I somehow managed to squeak out that I had a gift for the princess. He lead me down hallways and corridors and finally out to a palace garden.

The garden was more beautiful then anything I had ever seen before. The second you walk into the garden your senses are over whelmed by the sweet smells and the gorgeous flowers. The man lead me up a pathway to another man, the gardener. The man and the gardener exchanged a few words but I couldn't tell what they said then the strange man left. The gardener looked at me and smiled, I gave him the rose and he lead me down a different pathway to another door which lead off the palace grounds. Apparently that was the end of my little adventure.

The next day I decided to repeat the experiment after I finished it I decided to test it but the question was what to test it on. I could just test it on a rat but a human test subject would be better. Mabey I could use my best friend Rose. The next day I went and asked Rose if she was up to the task, and she agreed to do this. Rose is very pretty she has emerald green eyes that just light up when she laughs. Rose's hair is dark red, like a rose, that's why her mother named her that. Rose likes to wear plain t-shirts with jeans or leggings. Rose came over and I discussed with her what she was risking, and yet she still wanted to help me. I had her do the exact same thing the princess had done and the exact same thing happened. I decided  to start right away to discover the cure to whatever this was.
