Chapter 14.

The scarlet leaved trees filled the area, red grass and a nice, clear, sunny day. Forever Fall they call it. I can understand why, a place where it seems time has been frozen permanently in a season; it literary is, Forever Fall.

I watched as Newton and Titan bantered wittingly elbowing each other as they laughed over it, whilst Orilina admired the nature and surroundings. I haven't seen her this happy since.. I looked down at the ground, the crimson grass caressing my contrasting boots. I haven't seen her this happy before.

"Students." Our teacher came to a halt in front of us causing a domino effect of students stopping; making me slam into the back of Titan. After ignoring a small chuckle from him I moved to the side and looked up at the group. "We will set up here, please feel free to wonder around, but don't go too far as the creatures of Grimm are common in this forest." He placed the jars onto the ground by his feet and looked around, sighing calmly.

Stepping forward I picked up one of the glass jars, rubbing my hand over the indents in the lid, "You guys want to split up." I took note of the group, Titan, Newton and Carn were having a debate over which of their fauna parts were cooler, meanwhile Orilina stood by standing strongly, balancing eagerly on her toes as she tossed a jar between her hands, like a juggling act. Behind her stood a shy looking girl, she had long, brown braided hair- a flower crown made of flowers I had never come across topped off her hair. Freckles littered her face, bringing out her silvery blue eyes. The girl was fumbling over a red leaf that had fallen from the tree's around us as she looked up to Orilina occasionally.

I turned away, knowing that they all had people to collect the jelly substance with. I started walking casually into the forest, as soon as the groups had become a blur of red with splashed colors throughout, I scouted around me briefly before chucking the jar on the grass and taking off my boots. I took Laae from my hair extending her in my arm till she was just a long staff. I stretched out my arm and began rushing between the trees.

The crimson grass was not even close to soft moss that littered the lush forest floor of my past home. My mind flickered back to the swirling green overhanging trees, the outstretched branches- that if not carefully trimmed, became a hassle. The images of the secluded town that had no touch of the outside world and to think there was so much more. The clear water pond out side my house that was practically my second home and the bees that would buzz 'hellos' to me as I traveled past them. The Buzzing of sound distorting my hearing as if a bomb had gone off beside me. The sting. The pain.

I collapsed to the ground, the crimson meadow twisting into a deformed blood soaked street. I closed my eyes wanting to ignore everything, my body starting to ache once more. The feeling so familiar as if it was only just happening, but I know better. This wasn't real.

I peeled my eyes, begging them to open. They did, but the scene had already changed. I choked at the new view in front of me. Buildings burning to a crisp, whole structures collapsing. The only thing I can hear now are the screams. It gets too much, my body feels weak even though it's not actually happening and all I'm left to do is scream.

I scream using all my gathered strength, as the words echo back to me I can hear just how agonizingly painful it sounds and all I'm left to do is sob.

"Would you rather give up eating for a week or, never weight lift again?" Newton started the game.

"Easy, no food for a week, but what about coffee?" Titan prodded for more details.

"Coffee isn't a food Titan." Newton stated bluntly, smiling.

"I know, I know." Titan dismissed his words, but continued the game none the less. "would you rather be known as a 'Hunter' or 'Grimm Slayer'?" Titan cracked a wide smile, lifted his arms and flexed. He repeated 'Grimm Slayer' in a deeper tone then normal before the two of them burst with laughter.
