Before the earth was created, a ball floated, ablaze in the firmament. Lucifer and his fiends walked the sphere. The ground was searing, cracking and hissing, causing the rubber soles on the demon’s boots to bubble and gurgle. The smell of sulfur wafted through the air filling the noses of the beasts.
“It’s impeccable,” the Devil whispered with a pleased grin. “Our planet is the ultimate place to house the mortals.” He stopped in front of his throne and glanced around one last time to ensure that the orb was exemplary for God and the new race. He then perched himself on the throne, head back and eyes closed, satisfied with his creation.
It was not long before Lucifer heard heavy footsteps approaching him. His eyes opened to see God’s face twisted into an ugly grimace.
“This was your remarkable idea for a planet?” God boomed, “You think this environment is appropriate for the new race to inhabit?” The divine figure laughed tauntingly as the archfiend bowed his head in sorrow.
“The heat is insufferable, the fumes are noxious. I cannot subject the mortals to this type of anguish,” He stated sharply. “This place will be the core of the new planet, It will be called Hell. When a mortal dies, if he lived his life as an evildoer or a sinner, he will come here to rot for the rest of eternity. You will rot here as well, as the king of the Underworld.”
Lucifer could feel the rage bubbling up inside of him as God made his speech. God had turned down the hardman’s ideas quite frequently, they had an agreement to create a new race together, but in reality the Devil had no say this entire time, he was ready to explode when the ground began trembling. A rocky layer began forming in the sky.
“This is to separate the land of the living from the disparity of Hell,” God began, “It will be nearly 3,000 kilometers of silicate rock, called the mantle. Above that is where mankind will dwell.” Lucifer opened his mouth to begin speaking but before he could get a word out God was gone.
Above the mantle God laid sand, then laid water. On the globe of water he created a large piece of land. He called the land Pangea, and the planet, Earth. He littered Pangea with creatures of different kinds and a vast array of edible plants. The crust of the earth was the perfect environment for the new race. After putting the finishing touches, God brought in mankind. A man and a woman called Adam and Eve. He informed them that they were to live as man and wife, and create offspring in order to continue the new race, he warned them of sinning and the forbidden fruit. He left a good book that he had written for them, a guideline of what he expected from them and then he left.
In the core of the earth, Lucifer could feel the rage inside of him, his skin tinted red, it would remain there for centuries to come. He would destroy God’s creation, if it was the last thing he did. He was set on that, there was no changing his mind one day he would be the puppetmaster. And he would make sure of that.
To this day Lucifer remains in Hell waiting to wreak havoc on God and his creation. The human race remains, slowly destroying itself. And God sits above unknowing of the trouble to come.
