You're POV

'There's something about putting on a pair skates, and getting out there and moving like nobody else can. Freedom is a word that comes to mind. Freedom is ice-skating.'

"Earth to (y/n)!" My coach Eliza called to me. 'Wait... when did she get here?' I thought to myself as I skated over to her.

"I'm sorry Ma'am, I was lost in thought again!" I laughed a bit. Coach Eliza smiled and shook her head, she really is an amazing coach. "Did I have practice today?"

"No, that's not why I'm here, this time." She smirked; I looked down, trying not to laugh in response.

'How many practices have I missed..?' I thought, noticing she was hiding something behind her back. "What's that?" I asked leaning on the ledge separating us to get a better view.

She smiled and handed me a letter, "It's from the ISU!"

I took the letter and ripped it open, accidentally ripping the corner of the note inside. 'Oops'. I scanned the letter and my face immediately dropped.

My coach looked at my expressions and put her hand on my shoulder. "Oh honey... I'm so-" I bursted into laughter.

"I got in! I'm going to the championships!" Both of our faces brightened immediately. I looked over the paper again. "The first round will be held in Japan on... NEXT WEEK!" I started to freak out. "NEXT WEEK?! HOW CAN IT BE NEXT WEEK! I DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY COSTUMES MADE! WHAT PROGRAM WOULD I USE?!" I said to myself.

"(Y/N), calm down! I'll set everything up, you go home and pack then meet back here at 6 AM for practice!" She said, opening the gate to exit the rink. I left the rink and took off my skates on the bench nearby.

'I swear this woman can read my mind sometimes... Or maybe I said that out loud..?'

(Time skip 3 hours; 9:30 pm)

I was watching a video of my idol, Yuri Piletski, skating before I went to bed. 'It would be so cool if I got to meet him! Maybe we could even become friends! ... Even if I live in London and he lives in Russia... We could still text!' I thought to myself. Just then I got a text from Eliza.

Eliza: Your theme is going to be Sakura No Hana.
(Y/N): Sakura No Hana?
(Y/N): Wht does that mean?
Eliza: It means Cherry Blossom.
Eliza: Since the competition is first being held in Japan, I thought it'd be cool to make your theme Japanese themed!
(Y/N): K
Eliza: Remember to be at the rink at 6 AM!
(Y/N): K

I put away my phone and layed down. 'I can't believe this is happening.'
