Ch.10

Ashlynn's POV

We were in the middle of watching 'Smiley'. I was snuggled up to Ashton and Luke was snuggled up to his girlfriend, Sadie. She a arrived right when the movie started. Her and Luke are so adorable!

A scary part popped up. I jumped and buried my face I'm Ashton's chest. He chuckled at my reactions to the movie.

"Dinner is ready!!" I hear my mum say.

Me and Sadie were the first to run in the kitchen. We giggled a bit knowing we were scared. We sat down and my mum put plates of spaghetti in front of us. Yes, my favourite!

I was just about to dig in, but then someone growled and grabbed me. I shrieked, and then I turned around to see Ashton losing his shit.

"OH MY GOD, ASHTON! THAT WAS NOT FUNNY!" I yelled smearing spaghetti in his face.

"It was hilarious! And mm, spaghetti, my favourite!" He said wiping it with his finger and licking it.

"Ew, and no! You scared the living shit-" I paused. I just cussed in front of my mum.

"Living crap outta me. You scared the living crap outta me!" I covered up. I know it's childish to cover up cuss words in front of your parents, but I just reunited with my mum, so I don't want to give her a bad first impression.

"Babe, it's ok to cuss I don't care," she chuckled.

I nodded and started digging in my spaghetti. I shoved a bunch of bites in my mouth. I am so hungry!

"Damn girl, you can eat," Ashton laughed.

"When it comes to spaghetti, I eat like a starving caveman, it is my food," I laughed shoving more in my mouth.

"Spaghetti buddies!" Ashton exclaimed giving me a high five.

"Tea is done!" My mom said pouring tea in our cups.

"Thank you," everyone mumbles continuing to eat.

She sits down with her own tea and plate. She sits the pitcher in the middle of the table incase anyone needs a refill.

My phone vibrated. I checked to see I got a message..

' From Dad:

We are back early from our trip due to weather. Where the fuck are you?! Who told you to go off?! You are in huge trouble when you get home, you little piece of shit! '

My heart sank. It has been only two days.. My vision started to blur, and I felt tears stream down my cheek.

"What's wrong, sweetie?" My mum asked concerned.

Ashton put his arms around me

"What's wrong?" He whispered.

Sadie and Luke looked concerned.

I hesitated, then showed them the message.

My mum had an angry expression on her face. She grabbed the phone, I'm guessing she's texting him back. She handed me the phone

' To Dad:

This is her birth mother. She isn't coming back due to the way you and the rest of you treat her. She is worth more and deserves better. You say how much you hate her and shit like that, then she don't need to come back.'

"Thanks, for standing up to him like that.. I really don't want to go back there.." I said shakily.

"You're welcome, sweetie. Just stay here, he won't find you."

I got another text. Oh God.

' From Dad:

I signed adoption papers, I got custody over her, not you. Now return her or I will report you for kidnapping her '

I handed the phone back to my mom, i honestly didn't know if I should just go back so no one would get in trouble.. After a few clicking sounds from the keyboard on my phone and after she made a phone call to the police , well that's what she told me, she was done and handed it to me. I decided to read what she sent.

' To Dad:

Already ahead of you. I reported you for child abuse, I can't bear looking at bruises on my daughter. Goodbye sir, court is in a week. '

I smiled at the thought of leaving them, but all of this is going so fast. It makes me think about bad things. They are really manipulative people. What if they lie and seem innocent? What if they keep custody? Gosh, I can't handle this..

"Ashlynn!" Ashton said shaking me out of my thoughts.

"Huh- oh, sorry , you were saying?" I replied shaking my head for a second.

"Are you ok?" He worriedly asked.

"Oh, yeah, just.. Thinking," I murmured.

"Well, let's finish eating, whoever eats their spaghetti the fastest is the best spaghetti eater!" He yelled.

"You're on!" I smirked grabbing my fork.
