I'm really sorry if my writing is terrible and if the story seems rushed, but I have an explanation! Well, I'm never too busy to write and I could write the day away if I wanted to. I don't know why my sentences don't flow together and why I sound like a noob who never took language arts, but I'll try to improve the book and I'll still update/upload everyday. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoy!

Allura woke up early, extra early. She was super excited. Today was her children's first birthday! She got ready for the day, and headed downstairs to set up. She went shopping the week before, and was prepared. She decorated the dinning table with a colorful table cloth, and tied balloons to painted rocks, and hung streamers from place to place. She and the kids painted the rocks, and baked the cupcakes the day before. She wanted to have it all be a surprise, but she couldn't help but have the kids get messy and do silly things. It was so cute to watch them laugh and giggle.

Shiro and Caran woke up and got ready. They headed downstairs as well to help Allura set up and decorate. They were careful not to wake the children.

"I'm so excited! They'll be one years old!" Allura squealed quietly as she placed the small wrapped gifts in front of each seat for their kids to open when they awoke.
"I know. They're adorable." Shiro went over and gave Allura a kiss on the cheek.
"I can't believe it... They'll be one year old...Today..." Caran looked at the photos of the kids and their adventures.

They paused when they heard a muffled squeal from upstairs. Allura and Shiro rushed upstairs to make sure the kids didn't come down. They rushed to the kid's room which had toddler beds instead of cribs. Each had different colored sheets, Pidge's were green, Keith's were red, Lance's were blue, and Hunk's were yellow, a gold-yellow so you could tell the difference between the accident and the sheets. The changing table and the shelves still looked almost the same, just less baby-prepared. Allura and Shiro entered to see each child mostly awake.

"Good morning my children!" Allura kneeled down as they rushed out of bed to give her a hug. Shiro joined too.
"Now, I need you all to get ready. I'll get Keith and Pidge ready and Shiro, you can get Hunk and Lance." They broke away and got the kids ready. Each wore their favorite onesie. Allura did their hair and helped Pidge polish her glasses and Hunk tie his head band. Once the kids were ready, they headed downstairs.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" The adults put their arms in the air and pointing to the out-done table. The kids gasped and laughed as they ran to the table and to their seats more awake now. They took a seat in front of their gifts and waited for Allura and Shiro to join them. "You can open them." Shiro bowed to them playfully and the children proceeded to open their gifts. Each one received an amulet with a lion head charm carved out a different material for each child.

Pidge's amulet was carved out of different woods and had her traits carved on the back.
Keith's amulet was carved from obsidian and pumas, and had his traits carved on the back.
Lance's amulet was carved out of Aqua-marine and coral, and had his traits carved on the back.
Hunk's amulet was carved from gold and silver, and had his traits carved on back.

The children's eyes lit up and looked at their parents and uncle as they wiggled in their seats about to explode. And they did. They yelled 'Thank You' and hugged them. They requested for the amulets to be tied on and soon they wore their specially made amulets.

"You must promise us that you'll wear your amulet at all times." Shiro looked at Allura and Caran as he said so.
The children each placed a hand on their heart and one in the air ready to make an oath. They did so at the same time.

"The box is to keep your amulets in. When and if you take off the amulet, place it the box." Allura instructed.
The children nodded as they looked at their amulet's boxes. The boxes were small with the shape a lion's head. On the outside, the boxes had a soft, velvet-like material in a different color for each child. On the inside, the boxes had a flat, cylinder for the amulet to be wrapped around. The boxes could fit in a pocket if needed, and it was always with the kids in their pockets just in case.

They continued to celebrate and had the cupcakes. They sang happy birthday and watched as the kids blew out the candles. Everyone was happy and the day was focused on the kids and what they wanted to do. When the day was over, they went through their nightly routine. Caran taught the kids how to tie and un-tie the amulets and place them into their cases where they would be safe. The kids learned fast, and they untied their amulets and carefully placed their amulets inside their protective cases. They settled for the night.
