I stared at the fire in wonder. Inspiration, almost.
I looked to my left and saw Amy, silently reading in front of the fire as well. Jacob stood behind her, smiling. Adam was close behind, but his gaze was elsewhere. Unable to figure out where he was looking, I saw Samantha studying some wildflowers to my right. Gabriella ran up from behind her and surprised her, causing a small screech to come from the child explorer. They then turned to the noise of laughter coming from behind a tree. Mia was laughing hysterically from behind it, making it obvious that she had been the one who planned that surprise. Samantha then jokingly started to chase the two girls, yelling and laughing at them at the same time.
Catherine stood near a river, balancing herself on a rock while humming quietly. She almost instinctively turned to the sound of voices coming towards her, only to see the three girls playfully chasing each other... and coming straight towards her. Not having enough time to react, Mia, who wasn't exactly looking forward as she taunted her sister from the front, sent Catherine right into the river, where the other three followed, like dominoes. Seeing the four girls laughing their sides off in the river, Amy got up and offered to help them out so they could dry off. Now soaking wet, the four girls walked over to the fire to tell the others of the fun they had at the Waterfall. Nicole watched in awe as the sun went down, and the sky went from blue to orange to black.

I then looked up and saw the most breathtaking sight. Stars spotted the endless sky. There were so many, it was dot see them all. We all just stood there silently, taking in the wondrous sight.
I silently stared, enjoying every moment.
Amy curiously looked through the depths of the Milky Way, shifting her eyes to the moon as they widened in wonder.
Jacob settled his chin on her head as he looked up at the stars, that shined exceptionally bright.
Nicole's eyes shined back at them. She definitely didn't see this every day. She smiled as she took it all in, sighing quietly.
Catherine motionlessly stared at the sky, humming a soft melody.
Adam swayed back and forth to the small tune as he watched the stars with interest.
Gabriella's smile grew as her eyes frolicked across the sky, in search for shooting stars. When she spotted one, she hugged me and tightly closed her eyes, making a wish.
Samantha's gaze wandered the stars, in search for constellations.
Mia traced her finger in the dirt. Getting a nudge from her sister made her look up into the sky and be amazed from the sight of light and dark as one and the same.
And we stood there in silence.

Hi guys! This was a short story that I wrote while camping in Yellowstone, and it features my OCs as if they were real! This was actually all the things that I did there as one person and family, but I imagined them as if they were my OCs instead! but I hope you liked it!
The picture is the representation of it. They are not in order, because it is also from the song, "Glad You Came." I liked how it looked, and it fit the story perfectly! So I hope you enjoyed it!
