Me

My name is Athena.

I have always wanted to be this girl that my parents would be proud of calling their daughter. I always wanted to get married and have kids. I wanted to be the perfect mother to my child. I wanted to give them the life I never got. I am still waiting here for the day he will propose to me hoping it will be soon because my parents are killing me without even knowing it. I have to hide what I feel. When I cry nobody knows what I feel at all. I want it that way !       

Chapter 1

"Athena" my mother called from the living room. I hate when she calls me. Can she just bother somebody else  rather than me? I know im the oldest of 3 but still. I walk to where she is standing with the phone in her hand.

"It's Jenny she needs to ask you something" my mother says. Jenny is my best friend I have ever had.

"Hey Jenny whats up?" I say

"Well you know my twin older brothers" she says

"yea what bout them" I respond

"Well we are haveing a small party to celebrate thier birthday and I wanted to know if you could come it's this Saturday" she says

"I will call back I will need to ask my mom" I say

"Yea thats fine just ask her and let me know" she says with the happiest voice

"call you back" I responde

"MOM" I yell

"How many times do I need to tell you not to yell in this house" she yells at me.

"Whatever mom I justed wanted to ask if I could go this Saturday to Jenny's twin brother b-day party?" I say

"Well Im sorry you can't didnt your dad tell you we are leaving to North Carolina this Wednesday" she says

"How many days"

"Darling I meant we are moving like to live there"

"I...." I lost my words. The tears come down my cheeks before I can stop them. Why do I have to be weak and cry. I run to my room forgetting that I left my mother just standing there.

I knew my parents were thinking of moving but why now? I can't believe this im just 9 and leaving all my friends behind.

My mother comes in my room and hug me. Telling its all going to work out. That things happen for a reason and sooner or later you will know that reason.
