'She is Gorgeous. You'll like her. But you gotta tell her you are not from this town. Stick to being from Nairobi.' That was the script Omar had to follow in pursuit of Bella. Everything is supposed to be a lie, even his name and identity. It is to be all fun and games.
'Here is her number. Enjoy your endeavor and Best of luck.' Those were the final words as Omar was passed the baton. He was a skilful storm with skin and knew his way around the challenge. Fresh from a heartbreak he knew he was unnerved by a girl.
After long calls and texts, Bella finally agreed to meet him. On that Friday afternoon, the sun froze the shadow an indication of its glaring heat. As a tradition of his muslim community, Omar was supposed to be at the Mosque for the congregational friday prayers. Instead he was in the street waiting to meet Bella and see her face for the very first time. They never shared pictures before turning this date blind. All confident and cocky, he was anxious not about the type of human he was expecting to meet. Afterall it is just a girl from the outbacks he concluded.
On approaching the meeting point in the street, his phone ringed. Bella was behind confirming her arrival. As she hanged up the call, his eyes fell on her walking towards him with this glamour and confidence. The sun's ray illuminated brightly on her as he struggled to find a balance between the newly found hard-hitting shifts. He couldn't contain such powerful and intensely overwhelming feeling of nervousness.
As they shook hands, she couldn't fail to notice his nervousness. 'Why are you so nervous?' She asked. 'I didn't expect to meet such a beautiful girl in this town' he answered desperately trying to calm himself down. The cynic converted on the sight of her arresting face and skeptic turned into an ardent zealot.
