The room was pitch black, the only light was from the dull glow of the stars. Kuron stared at the vast array of stars. "What I wish to be free from this. I don't belong here and everyone knows it." Kuron sighed. "Why was I even created, to cause more problems?" Kuron crawled into his bed and stared at the wall for hours; somewhere deep inside of him, he hoping, he was waiting for someone to come, to comfort him, but that never came. By the emptiness of the room and the silence, Kuron drifted to sleep.
Kuron rubbed the blurriness from his eyes. Kuron got out from his bed and crept out of his room. The castle was shut down, it was just as dark and empty as Kuron's room. "It must be pretty late, everyone's probably gone to bed by now." Kuron explored the castle, everything is different in the dark as light, but Kuron has only ever known darkness. Darkness is always represented by despair, while light is represented by hope. In a world filled with darkness; how is there any room for the light? When a little hope seeps in, despair goes in and crushes it. It's completely silent in space, no one is there to fill the silence by noise. Sometimes silence is nice, but then there are times where it's nice to have noise. It gets lonely with complete silence. When it's completely silent like this, Kuron can't help but go to the dark thoughts in his mind. Kuron can't tell which memories are Shiro's and memories that are actually his. Kuron is stuck in the past; constantly getting tortured by his thoughts and memories. "How much time do I have left? If I don't have a purpose here, won't they just cast me away?" Kuron decided to go back to his room, tired of having his thoughts torture him. Kuron opened the door to his room, there was no difference between his room and beyond the doorway. It was all one in the same covered in darkness and drenched in despair. Kuron closed the door behind him and crawled into his bed once again. "How can I still be tired? I just woke up." Sleep doesn't help if it's your soul that's tired.
Lance was the first one to get up in the morning. He turned all the lights on in the castle. "What are you doing up so early?" Keith asked. Lance spun around, "Keith! Don't scare me like that!" Lance exclaimed. "What?" "Seriously? You didn't try to scare me?" Lance asked surprised. "No?" Keith raised an eyebrow at Lance. Lance shook his head, "Never mind." "Anyways, what are you doing up so early?" Keith asked again. Lance looked away, "I um- I couldn't sleep. I could ask you the same." "Me? Oh, I always wake up this early, you're usually the last one to wake up." Keith replied. Lance rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah." "Is anyone else awake?" Keith asked. "How am I supposed to know? I'm usually the last one to wake up." Lance mocked. "Very funny, Lance." Keith playfully glared at Lance. Allura walked into the room, "Hello paladins." "See? Allura came to the front instead of scaring us from behind." Lance shot at Keith. Allura was confused. "Don't worry about it, princess. Good morning." Keith said. Allura dropped it, she didn't want to know anyways. "Lance, I'm surprised you're up so early." Allura said. "Really? You too, Allura?" Lance whined. "I just-" Keith cut Allura off, "Don't worry about it, it's just Lance." Allura laughed. Lance narrowed his eyes, "It's just Lance, it's just me... I'm just me... am I not important? I'm not important, nothing is going to change... why am I letting this bother me? He was just joking around. Stop being stupid."
Kuron was the last to get out of his room, but something was off and Keith was the first to notice it. "Kuron, you okay?" Keith asked cautiously. Kuron didn't respond, he didn't even look at Keith, he just stared coldly over Keith's head. Kuron walked off. "What? What does that even mean?" Keith trailed behind Kuron, hoping that Kuron wouldn't notice him. Kuron didn't go to anywhere specific, he just wandered around the castle. Keith stopped trailing Kuron and decided to tell Allura about his worries. Keith looked all over to find Allura but had no luck, in fact he couldn't find anyone. Keith started to get hasty, "Allura?" "Coran? Hunk? Is anyone here?" Pidge jumped from the shadows and dragged Keith to his hiding spot. "Shut up, do you want to be killed?" Pidge whispered. "What do you mean?" Keith asked confused. "It's Kuron, you haven't noticed?" Pidge questioned. "I thought something was off, I confronted him and he didn't say anything thing, he didn't even look at me. He actually looked over me, there was a different look in his eyes..." Keith trailed off. "He-he didn't do anything to you?" Pidge stared at Keith. "Well Kuron is a clone that was made from the Galra... so maybe he didn't do anything since I'm half Galra?" Keith pondered. "Wait... so if Kuron ignores you because he is programmed to ignore Galra. You could be the one to stop him." Pidge realized. "How would I stop him?" Keith asked. "I don't know." replied Pidge. "Wait... what do you mean by killed? Has Kuron killed anyone?" Keith asked worriedly. "Be quite. I'm not sure but he was attacking everyone, so we scattered and hid until we can make a plan. Kuron is strong, unhuman strong, Keith I- I don't think we'll able to stop him." Pidge was worried, not knowing what to do next. "I'm going to find the others, you stay here." Keith stood up. "Okay, just be careful." Pidge whispered. Keith nodded and went to look for the others.
