She walked back to the Institute, half supporting Clary with her own body-half supporting herself. Izzy hadn't been expecting to see that.

Clary had showed her the picture of the note, warning the war would be at her home. This could be taking it to far.

Izzy will admit she hated Clary when they first met. But she has grown to be basically family after losing so many others.

The Institute is Clary's home, Izzy was certain of that. She can't imagine losing the Institute. Where all her memories will lie forever. Where all the secrets they avoided telling the Clave about hide. The place she called home. No one should be able to take that away from her.

When they returned back to her home, Izzy sent Clary to her room to rest and got no arguments. She ran to the Library and found her mother.

Mayrse's nose was buried in a book and her hair was completely grey. She couldn't remember her mother ever like this. Then again, nothing has ever been so wrong in their world.

Izzy strongly believed that her mother was still recovering from Jace's disappearance, but she equally believes that she mourned over Luke's death as well.

She knew it was probably a horrible time to tell Mayrse about this tragedy, but now was better than when they had a freaking army of Dark Shadowhunters lined up outside.

"Isabelle," she smiled. "What is it, dear?"

With a small ounce of courage, she explained the note on Clary's door and Luke's house down in flames.

"I think that was just a warning. Showing us just how serious he is." As if we didn't know. Izzy thought but kept her mouth shut.

"So you think he will strike here?" Mayrse asked.

"I'm positive."

Her mother stood up quickly, knocking the chair over behind her. "Get everybody ready to go and at the front door in five minutes."

Her daughter nodded and sprinted away.

Everyone was there, just like Isabelle had said. Clary was trying to build her strength up. Mayrse had told her she would need it, but Clary was unsure why.

She looked around at the small group. Alec, Izzy, Simon (who had showed up minutes before) Celia, Jadilyn, and Brittany. What could possibly be going wrong this time?

Mayrse walked down the stairs and turned her attention right to Clary. "We need you to make a portal."

Clary thought it would be much worse than that. "To where?" she asked.

"To Idris."

He woke up feeling all his muscles tighten for a brief moment. His nerves were on edge and he was certain something big was about to happen.

He just wasn't sure what it was.

He flicked his golden hair out of his eyes. His wrists had a combination of dried and wet blood covering them. He hardly paid attention to the pain.

He could hear footsteps down the hall. Not skipping so it wasn't Maureen. Not running so it wasn't a prisoner escaping.

And within an instant he saw a flash of white hair in the darkness and a voice that he knew too well.

"Hello Jace. We have much to talk about, you and I. Don't we?"

And he saw fiery red hair with a bloody green shirt, fall in a heap on the floor of the hallway.

I don't think anyone reads these notes anyway but...

Sorry if this is rushed. I kind of wrote it last minute. This story will be coming to an end sooner than I thought it would, but hey! What am I gonna do?
