Ch 17 - Kokoa Gets Her Sister Back Permanently

When you and Issa both reach Moka's room, you see Inner Moka holding Outer Moka in her arms. Inner Moka seems fine but Outer Moka seems really weak. Inner Moka looks a little worried.

"Kokoa go get a blood pack right now. (F/N) hold her."Inner Moka said as she was giving out orders to people.

You ran to grab Outer Moka as Kokoa ran to get a blood pack. You have never seen a motherly like side of Inner Moka that you were seeing now. Akua came in with her sword in hand.

"Father we have a problem. One of the other leaders have declared war against us." Akua said.

"Damn we do not need this right now. (F/N)now is the time to prove your worth. Even if I don't allow you to be with my daughter, I will give you a job if you can prove that you can fight." Issa said.

"I'm on it sir. Here Tsukune, hold on to Outer Moka." you say.

You pullout your blade and follow Akua to the armory. When you get there, Akua turns towards you and says "Put on some armor. You will need it. You will be under my command directly. Just follow my orders and you should be fine."

You find a set of perfectly good chainmail. You don't think that you can handle the weight but you put it on anyways. In your mind all you think about is surviving and fighting. All of a sudden, you feel a surge of power course through your body.

"About time you figured out how to use your vampire powers." Akua said.

The chainmail that you had on now felt extremely light. You just smirked and followed right behind Akua as she ran out towards the frontlines waiting as the enemy came near. You could see giants in the midst and knew that this was going to get bad and bloody. Akua hands you a shield and she pulls out her second blade. You brace yourself. 

"Charge!" yelled Akua.

Everyone charged towards the enemy and you made sure that you used the techniques that you had seen in Akua and Issa's sparing match and stay by Akua's side, slicing through enemies. The battle seemed to go on for ages while you were fighting. There was times that people were switching in and out of battle to get sleep and heal some before continuing on in the fight. The battle raged on for about four days while Kokoa, Tsukune, Mizore, Outer Moka and Kurumu were inside the castle the entire time being guarded by a small elite force. After the battle was won and the enemy had retreated, you were ordered to be put into bed to heal up. Kokoa stayed by your side each moment of every day and Akua would come in to tend to your injuries. Even though she seemed to psychotic she did have a nice side. After the fifth day of being in bed and not being allowed to get up and do anything, Issa came to see you.

"You have fought well and did an incredible task that most wouldn't have been able to do. Not only did you fight well, you did a good job of defending Akua and protecting my kingdom. I have called off the Gauntlet. I also give you permission to be with Kokoa. Do not disappoint me. When the time comes and you two decide to get married I would be proud to have you as a son-in-law. You fought for me when there was no need for you to do anything for me and have shown me kindness and respect when I thought the worst of you. I have a new outlook on humans and have come to realize that not all humans are bad because of you. Plus if you want I will give you a job. That job would to be Kokoa's bodyguard." Issa said to you.

You couldn't believe what you were hearing but decide not to chance fate.

"I will be happy to accept the job sir and hope that I can make you proud of me." you said.

"Good luck kid and may fate smile upon you." Issa said and with that he left.

Kokoa started to cry after Issa left. You grabbed her and hugged her. 

Now you could be with the one you loved and had a job to secure your future. Little did you know that luck just wasn't on your side. There was other powers working in the shadows that nobody knew about. The only question that remains is *Are you Prepared*. The thought that ran through your mind before you drifted back into unconsciousness from the injuries was: Is Kokoa pregnant possibly because you two never used protection.
