The girls and Jughead were sitting in a car that had just been plunged into awkwardness. With Polly still locked up in that hell hole Mary was devastated. She didn't know whether or not she had the ability to sing tonight.
"Honey, are you excited for tonight?" Alice asked, she wanted to be nice and encourage Mary because she felt Mary felt neglected from the family because she was different. Which Mary did. Mary just grumbled and did not acknowledge her mom. "I laid out your outfit for you." Alice continued smiling through the mirror. Mary just nodded her head before going back to fiddling with her rings. They finally got to the house. Jughead said his goodbyes to everyone and walked across to Archie's. Mary ran up to her room and turned her music up really loud so she wouldn't hear the fight Betty and her parents were getting into.
This was such a big oppurtunity for Mary and she could not ruin it. This was make or break for her, her ticket out of the hell hole known as Riverdale. Mary looked at the perfect playsuit laid out on the bed.

She took off her clothes and got changed into the playsuit. She walked over to her vanity mirror and started to do her makeup. She threw on her base quickly before spending her time doing a black smokey eye. She rubbed her lipstick across her lips and smiled to herself. Alice shouted from down the stairs.
"Reggie is here." Mary looked shocked but before she could shout back Reggie was standing at her bedroom door. She smiled at him.
"Wow." Reggie muttered. Mary rolled her eyes and hugged his neck.
"Sup." She said trying to act cool and Reggie just kissed her cheek.
"Good luck for tonight." He whispered in her ear. Mary walked out of the hug and started to put on her heels.
"What if I fall?" She asked worried and Reggie just shook his head.
"You won't." Reggie replied sitting beside her on the bed. Mary just rolled her eyes.
"You don't know that?" She snapped. Reggie put his hands up in defence.
"Your right I don't but you won't." He said winking before kissing her cheek again. Mary just punched his shoulder.
"You will ruin my makeup." Reggie rolled his eyes while Mary stood up and grabbed his hand. They walked down the stairs. Mrs and Mr Cooper were waiting smiling as their daughter and her boyfriend walked down the stairs.
"Aww honey." Alice gushed giving her hug. Mary swiftly hugged her back then stood up straight.
"Let's go." Mary stated as they all left the house. Mary looked over to see Archie walking out of his house. "Two seconds." She said to the trio before she ran over to Archie.
"I thought you were at Josie's?" Mary shouted smiling at him. Archie looked over at her gawking.
"I left something." He smirked and Mary raised an eyebrow as she saw her homemade bracelet she made for Archie when they were eight.
