For the past few weeks, strange things have been happening, and I believe it may be connected to the disappearance of one of my friends.

Before I relay the recent events, I should probably explain who she is, what happened to her, etc.

Up until a year ago, Lucy was one of my closest friends. We had known each-other since childhood (I believe I was around 2 months when I first met her.), our mothers knew each other. However, she left without a trace on September 29th, 2016. No messages. No forewarning. Nothing. Obviously the following investigation was an arduous, but thorough one. They gave up after seven months of looking for her, not having any leads.

From what I've been able to gather from her mother (which wasn't very much), it was like she had just vanished into thin air one night. They went through their usual rituals, but by daybreak, the window was wide open and she was gone.

Her room is on the second floor.

There were no fingerprints on the windowsill, no trace of hair. Her bed was almost perfectly made. It's like she was never even there. Now her family is moving on from the loss, but I guess I'm still angry. I wish they could have found her, or at least tried for a while longer. Her family is pretending that she never even existed, and it's been a struggle trying to pry information out of them, especially when they blame me for her leaving.

(Not only that, but someone has been leaving notes taped to the windows of our house. Of course my family would brush it off as some sick joke, but as time went on and it became clear that I was not the one leaving them, we called for an investigation. They stopped for a time, but as soon as the police left they began again.)

But I did get over it as well, eventually. Now that these notes keep appearing on my window it's just riling me further. However, it's also given me a new idea.

Whoever is leaving these notes clearly knows where Lucy is. I'm going to find her, and here's the place where I'll be recording my thoughts and documenting whatever happens.
