You’re running, it's silent except for the sound of your bare feet crunching on the dried fall leaves. You don't know where you’re running to exactly but does it matter. The cool air blows in your face pushing your short, dark brown hair backwards. You feel free, never wanting to stop. Eventually you do. You sit down and slowly breathe in the crisp morning air. You look around you. You're not sure where you are exactly but you look around at your surroundings. You're in a forest, It's probably around mid October so leaves litter the barren forest floor. Trees surround you and there are only trees for as far as the eye can see. You lay back. The moisture from the morning dew soaks into your shirt. A few acorn shells dig into your back but you ignore the pain. The sky is light grey. Puffy white clouds streaked with small amounts of gold and pink from the rising sun. You look down at yourself. You’re wearing an old torn up T-shirt and muddy cargo shorts. There is nothing on your feet but a thin layer of mud. You lay back and close your eyes.
