I saw a light,
and even from a distance
It shined so bright,
I had to be persistant.
Though she was blinding
Held in place, in brilliant splendor
The sight of her binding
I could not look away from her.
She needed nothing to be maintained
What could I possibly portray,
To something so self sustained
that, her, I would never betray.
I know we're apart
And its unbearably difficult
But if you listen to my heart
I think you'll hear the result.
That I don't want you to leave
No, never again
But we can't be naive.
I'll see you again, even if I don't know when.
